Miraculously, no one died. This pilot should be honored by our city.

I would be scared off my ass if that happened. I was looking through the pictures. They've got a video of it too. yes, the pilot needs to be honored.

Oh yeah, I was still at work and I kept hearing sirens and when I checked online I saw the pic of the plane. It was all over the news last nite here in NY. These poor people were terrified and thankfully only a few people had to get into the water.
I applaud the water taxis and the Circle Line for getting out there to help. I complain about the city sometimes, but it's this kind of bonding and helping of strangers in an emergency or disaster that makes me just love NY.

I totally agree! ♥♥♥
The plane was surrounded by boats within something like two minutes! And that piloting was genius. He deserves a medal and a parade.

I've been avoiding it because honestly I'm scared enough to fly..I have a trip this summer and so this only helped to make me nervous. I'm glad everyone is okay and the pilot deserves a medal.

True. That is the feeling I got when visiting the WTC rememberence centre this time last week. New Yorkers have a well deserved reputation for showing the best of themselves when things are at their worst.
The pilot and crew of that plane did a fantastic job. I am sure they will be honoured in some way; meanwhile I doubt they'll ever have to pay for another drink in NYC!
