I bought some little brooms from Wal-Mart (o great wal-mart.. I shall build a shrine to thee) and some leaves.. my mom gave me some of the autumn stuff to decorate them with. :D I just have to get some glue or ribbon... :T:T

I tried decoupage for the first time the other nite and made a pen/pencil holder for my mother's work desk with pics of jack o'lanterns and witches and stuff out of an old frosting plastic "can".

I also took some leaves that I found outside and glued them to a jar to make a tea lite holder! I purposely left the edges sticking out a bit (covered in the glue to preserve them) and it looks so cool!

I'm low on cash right now (retirement is like that), but I did get a wooden sign at JoAnn's. The word "Beware" and some bats are cut out of the wood. I'm painting it black and putting it up on my white front door. Hmmmm. "Beware". Think I'm gonna leave that up all year! :D

Did covering the leaves in glue keep them from curling at the edges at the top? I'm thinking about trying this idea for some of my candleholders:)
