My Crystal

I dont know if this is the right place to put this thread, but i need to ask a question.
I have this crystal that i love and it looks magical, but i know it's not. Can i make it into one of my "magical tools" or something? And how would i go about doing that?

How do you "know it's not magical"? Everything is magical. If you want to use it for a specific magical purpose cleanse and charge it - you can cleanse it by putting it in a windowsill all day and/or night, running it under water or leaving it in salt, leaving it on an amethyst bed for awhile, burying it for awhile, and so on.

Then you decide what you want to use it for and do a simple ritual where you project that purpose into it - you're basically associating the energy with it and filling it with energy like you'd fill yourself when you ground and center. There many ways to do both these things as you can find in books and on websites.

We recently had a thread in this forum on charging crystals and magickal tools. I really like what Raevyn said - Everything is magickal. That's one of the most wonderful things about the craft. I have found more cool magickal tools in thrift shops and the grocery store than I can count.

If you are drawn to something such as a crystal, then it is likely meant to be magickal for you. Follow Raevyn's suggestions, and I'll see if I can find that thread and bump it.

Well, i dont KNOw it's not magical...i just assumed it wasnt cause nobody else in my family is a witch....ooops, we all know what assuming does! But i have a new Q, does anyone know if there are any SPECIFICS on writing spells? Like are there any things that are required for a spell to work? Please, if you have any information or know of someplace where i could get true, great information online about this, it would be a big help!

But as to this thread - I agree with Freyja and Raevyn.
Everything is magickal in one form or another.
What I precieve as magickal and to be used for one thing or another someone elese might not agree.
Or they might say, "Hey, I see your point! I think that would work perfectly for me!" or....
"Hey! That would work for me if I only changed this or that!"
