I dont know if here is the right place to go. but i need someone who is into spirit animals. I need to know if a peron can have the same charateristics as the spirit animal?? Also is it possible to be two animals??

A good book that I have recently read is Animal Speak, I can't remember the name of the author. But in the book it states that you can have just one or numerous animals that will help guide you. And often these animal totems, as he calls them, are there to show you what characteristics that you have or maybe characteristics that you need to work on.

The author of Animal Speak is Ted Andrews. I also think it is a good book about animal totems.

Well, kind of. I think people have one totem, but there are other animal guides to look at.

I think of familiars, spirit animals, and totems.

Familiars are physical animals that help you in workings and lend their energy and who you feel extraordinarily close to (not just regular pets but more). I tend to think they pick you - for example a cat needs a home just as you can take it in, or you go to get a pet and one particular animal is really enamoured with you and it's like you've known them forever already.

Spirit animals are animals that come into your life to teach you something about who they are, or to help you with things - for instance you might have a spirit lion to help you when you have to courageous and a strong leader. You sometimes choose a spirit animal and study it, and sometimes they choose you by showing up in dreams, tv shows, meditations, and so on.

Totems are animals that, like you said, you recognize in your own personality. I think we only have one of those for life, and we don't choose them. We recognize them in our facial features and demeanour as well as our personality.
