Bump??

I was wondering if anyone could explain the bump??

I keep seeing it, and people say they have bumped a certain thread, but whats it about???

When you respond to a thread, it moves it up to the top of the page (or at least under the Stuck threads and announcements) When someone types "bump" they want it to move to the top so people will see it.
