I wanted to see if someone had some links to Hellenic recon sites? I'm very interested in reading about how people do modern day practice, the way you practice worship, pray, offer offerings, etc.

I do recall a reply to a thread loaded with links to sites but I just haven't been able to find it for the life of me!

*Sticks thread*

I thought I'd make this into a sticky, seeing as it has good potential for offering lots of Hellenic resources. It would be a shame for it to get lost :)

Knowing modern practice (for all recons) is useless without knowing the history. See the links below, (I am currently in a class on Ancient Greece at UMUC (http://www.umuc.edu/programs/undergrad/courses/histcat.shtml#hist324)) we are using these to supplement the class.

http://sponde.suneagle.info/ seems to be a broken link.

I know the site has changed hands a couple of times - seems as though we've lost it again. Fortunately, it is completely archived: link (http://web.archive.org/web/20071213183205/http://sponde.com/)

For some reason Hellenismos.us was removed.

Here is the link:

Also, we should probably have some sort of process to discern if these links are actually Recon, since this is supposed to be the Recon board. I can tell you that what I briefly perused of the links posted are not actually Recon at all.

If you want to make a list then you're more than welcome to Twinkle - or anyone else :) Perhaps use this thread for link suggestions and then have a separate thread just for the links so they don't get buried.

I've done that for the Celtic Recons section, but it's difficult for me to do with the other subforums because they're not exactly my areas of expertise and I know there are all kinds of politics and debates on what is or isn't properly reconstructionist and so on, that I wouldn't necessarily pick up on (I know there are some groups that claim to be or are thought of as CR but aren't seen as such by a lot of CR folk, fr'instance).

If anyone wants to have a go here (or in the other subforums) then I'm happy to sticky it and do anything else I can to help :)
