I thought it would be cool land super-symbolic if I began my life as a druid on Samhain, when the new year begins. Unfortunately, that leaves me about a week to prepare.

I really want to have some sort of Rite, something in which I could pledge myself to my gods, the earth and etc. I have some vague ideas of what to do, but I'm really on a limb.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a Samhain Initiation Rite?

Well, my take on Druidry that one is a Druid when one is a member of an order, or in service to a community. If one is on one's own, all you can truly do is live and follow a Druidic lifestyle. You are a follower of Druidry. But you are also as much a Druid as you feel in your heart. It's complicated in my head. >_<

I didn't do any sort of dedication or initation - those are more things given to you by groups of others in recognition of your efforts. I simply declared to my Tuatha that I was ever their student and servant, and I would tend my altars, sacrifice to my Gods and honour my ancestors as they deserved.

I suppose that really doesn't answer your question. But I think if you research, read lots, and follow your soul's urge, you'll find what's right for you.
