Three of Pentacles

Okay, so sometimes when I'm having doubts about my relationship with my boyfriend I turn to my tarot deck for some advice. Inevitably whenever I do that the three of Pentacles turns up. I've been trying really hard to interpret this card and I can never get a satisfactory answer to the problem at hand. This card insists on haunting me in lieu of other more interesting cards like the Star or the High Priestess. In fact I never see much of the Major Arcana in my readings, and when I do I welcome them. I'm just wondering if anyone can give me a more satisfactory explanation to the three of pentacles than what I get from books or my own lil brain. :)

I see this card (thanks to a friend's help & advice with it) as being about teamwork. The people are working together to build a masterpiece. In the RWS deck there are 3 people, I think of them as each having a specific job to do... like one is an architect, one is a builder, etc. They have individual talents and they each incorporate them into the project. :) 3's are also about communication in numerology.

I think so. Maybe the cards are telling me to work with my boyfriend on whatever problems we have instead of dwelling on them by myself. I think that might be it because I keep seeing this card everywhere I go.

Still learning here but something made me want to comment on this thread:

I see the three of pentacles as a craftsperson, or a creative venture. The Lewellyn deck shows a woman happily sewing or embroidering with three pentacles at her feet. This makes me think of putting money worries aside and concentrating on the task at hand, or taking time to concentrate on something that makes you happy (especially something crafty).

Not sure if this fits with your situation at all, maybe the card doesn't have anything to do with your boyfriend but keeps popping up because of something you have been ignoring or neglecting. Does it only show up in your relationship readings?

yeah, I'm seeing it as there is work to be done but it can be accomplished if approached with patience and diligence.

Also, sometimes 3's point to a third party. It could be a friend/outside party may offer some assistance.
