My deck is ruined!

So I hadn't fiddled around with my tarot cards in a while so I pulled them out tonight only to find that they are ruined. I had been storing my DruidCraft deck under my pillow for a while and then when I changed covers I placed it over by my altar. Tonight I pulled them out and found that they had gotten wet sometime, or damp, and now they're stained and had gotten stuck together. A lot of the cards won't come apart, and the ones that do end up tearing. I'm distraught. I really liked that deck and I was only just learning so I'm pretty upset, especially since they were a birthday present to myself.

I have a raider waite deck and a mythic tarot decks too but I really loved the art in this one. :wah:

I'm thinking about replacing them but then I'll have 2 books and one deck. Sigh.

I'm sorry that I don't have a spare copy I can send. Why don't you check some forums and see if anyone has one up for trade or sale? Aeclectic has a good trading forum. :)

I'd give you some advice on how to fix it, but it sounds like it really is a goner.

But, you can salvage the cards that are not that bad and use them as inspiring art! So all is not lost! :)

I was also going to suggest using the cards to make something ... decopaging is pretty easy.

A spare copy of the book isn't a terrible thing! You can keep one at home and one in the car (or somewhere else away from home) just in case you want to have something interesting to read.

Luckily the Druidcraft is still available. Try amazon.com marketplace also. I have gotten decks fairly cheaply there. In fact, it's often possible to find a deck only, and then you'd have a many decks as you would books!

Thanks for the tips. I've never heard of decopaging, but it sounds like a good idea so the ruined cards won't go to a total waste.

Hopefully I can get a replacement deck.
