Puppy pictures!!

Well, here are some pictures of the puppies that I looked after for a months, and raised like they were my babies, and came to love.
I have to give them away on October 13th, and that made me cry, but it's good knowing they have homes.

Anyway, I have 5 pictures of them that you'll all go "awwww" over :)

Number 1 is a picture of the runt of the litter.... we called her "Ugly" because despite being cute she's....ugly. :) She looks like a drowned rat when wet.

(edited to add that all these pictures were taken just a few days before they left me, when they were around 6 weeks old.)

This one is my dog, Max, playing with the puppies....he just loved them to death, and he was soo gentle with them, it was rather surprising....

Hehe.....the puppy looking up at me here is the one we called "Spot" she was the only puppy with any white on here... a big white spot right on her back, white feet and a white tipped tail.

Actually, it's my big dog, Max, that's sick....we didn't keep any of the puppies, we already have 2 dogs :)

Amethyst Rose, are you in dog rescue too?? I am involved in helping Bluegrass Basset Rescue, incuding fostering. You fostered SEVEN puppies at once?!! Wow! I know (personally, actually know) the commitment that takes!! My hat is off to you! :fpraise:

I've had Basset Hounds since I was around seven years old, and only went without having a Basset when I was in college. (Both times.) Then I rushed out and got another one (actually, my second husband bought her for me as a wedding present -- my baby "dirl" dog, Priss!). I'll post her "adult" pic (my only puppy pic of her that I can find hasn't been scanned, and the scanner isn't hooked up anymore. Bob unhooked it from the PC, he can't hook it back up, and my pain levels won't allow ME to either!). Then I'll post a baby pic of my current furbaby, Piper. THEN I'll post her pic as an adult, with her adopted brother, former foster, Wilson! If there's room, I'll post a B/W of me with my very first furbaby -- Bones. (Her name was not of my choosing!!) (I also had a rescue that had parvo and died very young; she was beautiful. If anyone is interested, I'll post her pic later!)

I should have included my precious Phoebe's photo! This is her at eight weeks, three days before we discovered she had parvo. Everybody tried SO HARD to save her!! Anyway, here she is, in all her beauty! (I added an animated extra too.)

Heh...that was the first and only time I did it....and truthfully, if there had been any sort of animal rescue on the island I would have taken them there instead of looking after them myself. They were sweeties though. :)

Heh, when I was reading this I didn't see the original dates. I thought, Puppies *and* a new baby...Is AR nuts? :lol:

Puppies and kittens are so cute no matter what they look like too. :)
