Planetary, Lunar, Zodiac Correspondences

MM Everyone!

I am curious to know how many people use the Lunar Phases, Planetary correspondences, zodiac and hours for spellwork?

I, for the most part, have always used the correct lunar phase, planetary day, but I do not use the zodiac or hours. In fact, I did not understand the zodiac (from Aries to Pisces). I thought it meant I had to wait until the month of March (Pisces) to achieve goals of that astrological sign. I did not realize that the moon continuously moves through each sign of the zodiac which changes everyday.

*giggle* Honestly, I don't even know why I posted that ... I read your question, posted and left. LOL! I'm a person in a "knowing what needs to be done and doing it" Tradition, and we don't get into spellwork, correspondences and all that other stuff ~ we just move the energy and go on. :D That's what works best for us.

well as for me, I mostly follow the phases... The moon strenghtens my magic and therefor I work with it. However sometimes you just can't wait for the moon the get in the right phase to do your work and then I try to follow the phases of the day... well you know the hours all corresponds with different things... and I also work with the days of the week... you know friday for love etc... usually I combine the moon, the day of the week with a particular time of the day for my work. But really you have to be practical aswell =) so I guess, do as you wish... whats best for you...

one thing that can be done is to look at the placment of the Moon during the month, and work with those energies...look to career matters when the moon is in Capricorn, look to home an dfamily when the moon is in Cancer.
You can do this with the sun aswell, think of learning, teaching ,higher education, travel when the Sun is in Sagittarius, look towards new beginnings, starting projects, forward motion, when the Sun moves into Aries....

WhooHoo, Litha.....on my way to that site. I'm finding that as I grow, I am paying more attention to the astrological correspondences. I have basically been just following waxing and waning moon. We had a thread similar to this one recently and I posted that I'm just not organized and meticulous enough to really get into serious spellcrafting. But you might have noticed that I'm visiting your forum quite a bit recently ;)

At Women's Circle the other night, we had a spiritual check-in, and I realized that I'm getting very serious about really using my magick. For me this has meant more props and correspondences.
