That is quite a loss, could come from something as simple as poor posture or injury, if it continues, bring it to a doctor's attention. Most people don't lose that much height so young unless something has caused it. Or who ever is measuring isn't using the same method. A slight angle of the measuring tool is all it takes to make a big difference

I am 6' 2'' tall. When I was younger I realized that being tall bought a certain kind of respect from some people and I therefore wanted to be taller. Later I realized that being tall and having long arms made it difficult to buy clothes off the rack. I didn't really want to be shorter I just wanted a place to shop. These days I am content with my height and more concerned about my weight. It's always something.

The last time I checked, I was just about 4ft 10/11. I don't know if I'll stay short, since my dad's somewhat tall, but I sincerely hope to grow at least three more inches. Then again, Filipinos tend to be on the short side, especially the women in my family; one of my cousins is at least 16 and I'm half a head taller than her.

I have OFTEN wished that I was taller. However, I overheard my optometrist around three/five years ago that the taller I get, the worse my eyesight would be. So I've grudgingly made peace with my shortness. ...On the other hand, if I'm legally blind I could get a Labrador to guide me around! I love dogs! :D

But seriously, a guide dog may not be good for me. I hate being dependant unless there's nothing I can do about it.

Depending on how you look at it, I'm actually kinda short for a guy. A whopping 5' 6" tall.

I'm 5'5 ", which is pretty average. However, my significant other is 5'2-5'3. That makes things unique, but not too uncomfortable for me.

Yes, sometimes I do wish I was taller, for I often cannot reach shelves and things without climbing on other objects or people. Which is annoying... *cries*

I can't even hold my acoustic guitar properly, it's too large for me so I have to hold it lower than usual... I'm 4'10 or so btw....

Short is good. Not that far to fall to the ground....lol

Only drawback is that all cabinets are built for tall people and that is anybody over 4'11 1/2" to me.

When someone asks me to describe a person as short or tall. Well, even short is taller than me.

My late husband and I looked like Mutt and Jeff. He was real tall and I was real short..

Makes it hard to find good dance partner.

All in all, I like being short. Don't have any choice, so I just like it.
