How many goddesses do you think any one person should worship. I worship one Goddess and one God.:heartthro

I think the number varies from person to person. I also think that at diferent times in our lives we may feel the need to add or subtract from who we worship. I think each of us hears thier songs to one degree or another and we follow the one that harmonizes deep within us.

Well, I'm a monotheist. I think all gods and goddesses are just faces of the Divine. so for me, its just a matter of associating with a perticular face that draws your or suits your needs. The number of personalities doesn't really matter.

Depends on your definition of Worship. As a Gwyddon, we have a "God Family" whom we celebrate in ritual worship, and we have certains "Gods of Rapport" (personal deitic friends/family) as well.

MM,
I also believe all Gods are different aspects of one god so to call out different names for me would be for a particular reason. As for whorship I just pray to one god and I consider him my only one.

Each god and goddess represents something specific, like Sekhemet is the goddess of sickness and war, and Ganesh is the god of new beginnings. Bes is a god of childbirth. Hathor and Venus goddesses of love and beauty. So, I would suppose that you should worship as many or as few as you need to or would like to - as long as you don't have them stepping on eachother's toes. I wouldn't worship both Hathor and Venus, you might not get the results you're after. The same is true for Sekhemet and Kalli, Osiris and Shiva, Vishnu and Horus, you get the point.
I, unlike many here, do not believe that there is only one god with the gods and goddesses being aspects of that one god. I've heard the theory, and frankly, it doesn't make much sense to me. The reason being, I believe that there is a "community" of gods, for lack of a better term. I believe that they are part of a "God/Goddess energy", but that they are individuals - just as we are the human race, they are the god race.

Well, I have no deities. But that does not mean they do not exist, it just means I do not put an entity above the Universe and all that is within it.
That's just me. ;)

I often just turn to the Mother in my workings, feeling that she can help always. But sometimes I turn to a specific god or goddess, since I feel they can help me best with that particular thing. However I sometimes choose not to call upon a particular god or goddess, I feel that there isn't always a need for that, that the best fitted in that issue will come to me and aid me...
Well, thats just me... =)

I worship only one Goddess and one God as well, but I use different names for Them sometimes...it all depends on the situation. I have a fondness for Gaea, the Earth Mother and speak to her often, but I also look to the Morrigu, Cerridwen, Isis, Brigid and a few others when the situation suits. As for the God, Cernunnos is the only one I associate with the God...and only because I am not as versed in the Gods' names as I am the Goddesses...hm...wonder if that makes me Dianic?? :D

That pretty much sums it up for me. :)

I believe that there is one supreme Diety in control and that she is female. I also believe this Goddess has many faces and is not really all that different than us mortals, whimsical and cruel. She just has the upper hand. Hence why I choose not to worship her or anyone else for that matter.

I think it comes down to what your beliefs are.
Polytheists are obviously going to worship more gods than a duotheist or monotheist.
My personal beliefs are that there is an all-encompassing "force" (if you will) which is the creator/universe/etc. So, in that light I would be considered a monotheist.
On the other hand, I believe that this "force" can take form in two beings - feminine and masculine (God and Goddess). So in that manner I could be considered a duotheist.
Yet, I also believe that the God and the Goddess can take form as specific deities to help us channel our thoughts and energy into certain areas. And I think that by worshipping particular deities it helps us visualise them clearer and work with the energies of God and Goddess clearer. So on that manner (being that I have four patron/matron gods and goddesses) I am a polytheist.
:) It's all how you look at it. :sunny:
Bright Blessings,
Lilu
