Hello all!
Little bit about mahself:

-I'm recovering Luddite, this coupled with my extreme asocial tendancies have kept me out of most foums (also parties, school). I'm here to try communicating with some other earth monkeys for once.

-I am very experienced with Reiki and Massage, though I have dicontinued practice for people outside of my familt and very close friends.

-I can read Tarot like nobody's business and have been into astrology since I was ten years old, only studying seriously for about four years now. I took to Tarot much better and quicker than astrology. I think it's the pretty pictures.

-Malkookoo describes my current three year (or more, depending) stint growing roots in Malkuth.

Being a solitary practitioner in the strongest sense of the term, I take meaning where I find it, keep digging until I find the root of the matter, then decide whether or not it has the medicine I need. I took Malkuth to mean (in one aspect anyway) the most material and dense aspect of reality, the one that connects face-to-pavement if you're not carefull; not just gravity, but that as well. So, with that frame of mind, I have rejected all of my preconcieved beliefs and thought-patterns concerning the occult. Currently, I am working on skills that will benefit me in the world that allows me to cram food into my face-hole.

But, I am still fascinated by more ethereal subjects and want to learn about them in brand-spanking new perspectives.

Have I come to the right place?

-I think skepticism is invaluable, by that I don't mean the "No, no, no. No validated MIT-research, no way" brand that's bandied about a bit to much for my taste, but the open, free-flowing form that rejects all previous imprints and structure of thought whether they be occult, scientific, or religious, and allows unrestricted access of new information as emotion.

-Fun Facts- I live in Alaska, play the uke, have one squriming monkey-larva and another on the way, speak fluent german, and don't appreciate labels* (sexual, spiritual, otherwise) or pepsi Vs. coke politics**.

I know, I know. Longwinded. I promise I won't let it happen *too* often, but this is my intro thread, after all.

Howdy!

*I prefer mettyfores.
**I prefer cool, crisp water.

Welcome!

Massage. I likes massage. Shhhhssh. I like massaging as much as being massaged.

I think we share some factors: being solitary as hell (I am now but this is due to my nomadic wanderings from time to time more so than any group's thing.) Also, being at a place in life where getting the goods to stuff one's hole with food. I am having fun learning all of this as much as any other thing to do, and the results are worth it.

You summed it up in your "Have I come to the right place?"

It will grow on you and you will see you have.

I hear you on the nomadic thing. Last count, I have moved as many times as years I've been alive; that's an improvement, it used to be more.
