Bast enchanting the kitties?

A little while ago I posted a thread regarding my altar that I recently put up, dedicated to Bast (in the Just Pagan forum), and the discussion turned to cats being drawn to the altar.

Now, my cat, Kramer, is quite cantankerous and is rarely found in my room (usually she sleeps on my sister's bed in her room). However, once the altar was erected, she has been either sleeping on my bed (in view of the altar), under the desk (where the altar is), or right on the desk (right in front of the altar). She never did this when just the statue was there, but wham! put a few candles, a mini cauldron, a crystal ball, and some other things around the Bast statue and she seems drawn to it.

Has anyone else had this type of thing happen to them, where their cats just seem drawn to Bast? Or another fur baby drawn to something Pagan of yours?

Your kitty probably senses the intent you put behind setting up the altar. If he was only sleeping on the desk, I would say it's just because there is something new there that he doesn't recognize. Since it has become your room in general where he sleeps now, I'd guess that the altar has some part in that.

I made some wands for my close friends, for each one I made, my female ( Farah) would sit and watch me then she would rub herself all over each one. My male ( cujy) would then do the same. They are always with me when I'm doing my cards, or intending.

I can't pull out anything remotely 'paganish' in front of or around my cats and expect them to stay out of it.....tarot, crystals, runes...whatever, they dont care. They just seem attracted to it.

My cat is named Bast. But his middle name is ARD. He seems entranced and will sit near, but not on my workings. He is the youngest of this pride. There are three. When he was a baby, the middle female taught him the ropes and he ate after the two older females. Strangely enough, they let him eat first now.
I really need to neuter that cat!
