Hey People! How are y'all doin'?

Well I've been gone for a few days because my BIL got married Fri! My daughter was the flower girl and my husband stood in the wedding. My baby had a tuxedo to wear courtesy of his grandmother. It was soooooooo hectic! We were there from 1 am Thurs morning to 12:30 pm Sun plus driving time! I'm so tired but just had to check in and read, catch up and post a few. My mind is not working staight yet and I've had to go back and add a line or 2 to my posts a couple times. Anyways my DH saved the day twice!

Ok so a little known fact for y'all since I've never mentioned it but we're VW people. My DH has a '74 VW bus and when we bought another car it was a more recent Passat. I don't think I could get him to buy anything else! So we have worked on and off on our bus for the past 5 years but she is in desperate need of a paint job, chalking with every wash and never out in the rain! So we were going to take the Passat for the wedding but the A/C went out before we left! My husband says "More meat, more worms". So we take the bus. Well when we take the bus we take our old little boombox as it plays cds and tapes and our bus' radio doesn't work too well. Well for the rehersal dinner the restaurants' radio was blown so here we come and are the only people with a boombox! Save #1, it made my husband very happy since we weren't able to help much living 5 hrs away and with a baby. So then the day of the wedding the DJ didn't show up early to set up so out came my husbands' boombox to play the wedding music/march! Save #2.

It's funny how things happen like that. We wouldn't have had it at all if we took our other car. I know the God/desses are shining down on their marraige. It was so meant to be!

Anyways other things went wrong with thier wedding but not anyhting too bad. Why does it seem like something always goes wrong at weddings? It may not be noticable to the guests but the families know everything that goes into it and no matter what you do some things just won't work out. Late DJ's, late cakes, rentals don't show up. Those are the last things that need to happen on your special day. i think one of the worse things that happened is that some people, guests or the hired help, I don't know who, ran off with a couple of expensive crystal vases that were to go to my MIL and FIL. People also took off with the less expensive ones on the tables which the bride, thankfully, bought and decided not to rent them. And thats bacause she had some nice guest favors. oh well i guess I'll stop ranting now. Anyways its good to be back home!

My fav car was a VW Quantum Wagon! But I don't like cars very much and I need a van that can pull stuff.

You have to admit that was nice of them to let you enjoy your day. :)

VW busses are haulers, OK not like big duleys (sp?). Old VWs are some of the only cars that can go up the steepest/highest incline/passes in the world. I can't help but promote them. ;)

when it comes to long steep grades i'd prefer something like a "three and a quarter" caterpiller and a 13 speed

I'm so very glad they didn't tell me before they did....my husband had one hell of a morning though:) ....the poor thing was freakin out...(he's a worrier....he has panic attacks....he can be a mess at times!!) I felt bad that he was holding that on his shoulders all day long!!

On my wedding day, my ex (bf, that is) called and begged for phone sex ("you're only getting married..."), I almost forgot my bouquet, and my sister, my best friend, and I almost got hit by a train...

Lovely eh?

Yeah... a very small part. He's one of the biggest loser's I know. Unfortunately for me, he had a great disguise... he still has all his teeth! lol
