I'm rather new to utilizing my psychic powers in a refined, honed sense. I've always possessed the power to see things in the spiritual realm, I often have premonitions, and I can sense emotions and thoughts 99% of the time. While my accuracy is alright, I tend to get signals mixed and get a set of emotions or a future pinned on the wrong person.
So, I'm trying to find ways to focus and strengthen my psychic powers. Any suggestions? I use meditation, yoga, dance, and chanting to help me raise energy and sensitivity, but I still have trouble controlling it.

I too would like some help. I do get psychic premonitions and Sometimes I think that I am making it up but then it happens and I want to strengthen it so its louder and unmistakable(what the hey, i can't get that word to look right). Someone has to have some ideas. EH?

1. Relax, sit comfortably, and close your eyes. Feel your vision shift as your eyes close, and focus your awareness on the "Third Eye Area" (please tell me if you are not familiar with this term and I will explain in more detail). This is generally located barely above your eyes, centered between. Rest a moment here and see what images and impressions you recieve. Feel the heightened sense of awareness you have when attuned to this area.
2. Write down the names of five people you know. Close your eyes, and one by one, bring a name to mind from your list. Sense through your Clairvoyant Psychic reception area (third eye) and see what images or impressions you recieve as you focus on each individual. Note the feelings, knowings, and understandings that accompany each image.
3.Be open to revieving any images. If you get a pure symbol or color, note it. If a visual memory flashes to mind, note its feelings and circumstances. If you see a literal scene, get a feel for whether you are viewing a current event or seeing a premonition.
4. Do not try to analyze the impressions while you are recieving them. Simply record them and move on to the next name on the list. This will help you stay in a psychic flow.
5. When you have finished all five, review your notes and analyze the images you recieved as your psychic vibrations sensed each individual. What can your images tell you about that person, or about how to deal with him or her?
Additional Excersise:
Still another way to practice Clairvoyant Image Reception is to get a symbol for your day. Sense a key image, or picture impression, that serves as a guide to behavior that will make your day successful. Hold yourself and that thought in mind and see what impression you recieve. One morning when I was working on this I got a picture in my mind of a charging bull. I interpreted it as a symbol to be unstoppably assertive that day. A few hours later I had the chance to apply that message: through persistance and assertiveness, I convinced two skeptical radio program producers to have me as a guest on their shows. The next day I recieved the image of a meditating figure and of a timepiece showing two o'clock. As a result, I tooktime out at two that afternoon for additional meditation. When my phone rang at 2:30 I was calm and prepared for the unexpected interview with the Washington Post that followed.
I don't know if it's even legal to post an excerpt from a book, but I found this in "You Are Psychic! The Free Soul Method" written by Pete A. Sanders JR. This book includes many many excercises and alot of information on Clairvoyance, Clairaudience (psychic hearing), Psychic Intuition, and Psychic Feeling (being able to touch an object or person and recieving images through energies transfered between the Psychic and the subject.) It is not a spiritual approach, unfortunately, but the description is "An MIT-Trained scientist's proven program for expanding your psychic abilities". VERY GOOD BOOK! You'll find out alot. I'm an Intuitive, so I couldn't tell you how this particular excercise works to be honest but....I sense it will;)
Edited to add: hey Mod, if it ISNT legal, you mind taking this down for me? Thanks a bunch. I'll paraphrase and repost if I need to lol

These are the first two stanzas in a poem that has been crucial to the zen meditation part of my path. I find that it is like a spell that achieves it's end by the time the last word is read.
Verses On the Faith Mind
by Sengstan
translated by Richard B. Clarke
The Great Way is not difficult
for those who have no preferences.
When love and hate are both absent
everything becomes clear and undisguised.
Make the smallest distinction, however
and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart.
If you wish to see the truth
then hold no opinions for or against anything.
To set up what you like against what you dislike
is the disease of the mind.
When the deep meaning of things is not understood
the mind's essential peace is disturbed to no avail.
The Way is perfect like vast space
where nothing is lacking and nothing is in excess.
Indeed, it is due to our choosing to accept or reject
that we do not see the true nature of things.
Live neither in the entanglements of outer things,
nor in inner feelings of emptiness.
Be serene in the oneness of things
and such erroneous views will disappear by themselves.
When you try to stop activity to achieve passivity
your very effort fills you with activity.
As long as you remain in one extreme or the other
you will never know Oneness.
