The Background:
About a year ago, the Gods made it known that I needed to start getting my stuff together and get ready to teach. This came as something of a surprise, since I didn't even have a good place to Work. But the Gods are bigger than me, so I've learned to listen to them.
Shortly after that, my brother's RPG started up again... hosted at my place, of course. :D We had a number of new players, one of whom wore a pentacle with a Goddess image. She & I admired necklaces & moved on.
Eventually, we started associating with her outside the game.
This summer, I had major surgery. The DAY I got home from the hospital, she called and asked me -- basically -- to teach her.
We recently formalized that, though Work-space is still difficult to come by. We've been meeting on Thursdays for 2 weeks now.
So, Samhain's on a Thursday this year. Not only have I got to teach a student, but I've also got to design a ritual to make her first real Samhain special. In between extreme stress at work, an no time at all to spare at home this week.
Did I mention life is stressful right now? I've got a new client at work, and setting things up with them for this first order has me (and everyone else involved) pulling out my hair!!! Plus, deadline was 2 days ago. :shaker:
So today, in the midst of all this stress, I took my 15 min. break. (It was so tempting to work through it...)
The rooms I usually go to meditate in were full. (Meetings). So I went outside to the parking lot, and took out my notebook. I drew a circle. OK, I have to start working on this ritual...
Suddenly, everything just came together. :bubbles: All of it, from beginning to end. It's all captured right there in a couple (like, maybe 10) words in my notebook. Everything I wanted to include, and a couple un-expected things. All that's left for me to do is write a couple invocations. I can handle that.
Thanks be to the Gods! :sunny:
The subject line, is because everyone saw come in with this huge, silly, goofy grin... and dying to share it with someone: "All I have to do is write some poetry -- the rest is taken care of!"
(Of course, actually saying that at work today might make them break out the butterfly nets!) :nonono:
So I came here, to tell folks who would understand!
