Hubby has been wanting to get a pentacle for me for some time. I've watched, looked and searched but could never find one. They had some necklaces at the county fair. He bought it for me even though it really wasn't what I wanted. It was on a black cord and about as big as a quarter. I wore it some but not much. I was gonna wear it the other day but it broke. I was happy to give it place on my altar. For me it was more fitting there.
I don't like big jewelery so I've been looking for a small pentacle. There just didn't seem to be any out there, I wanted one about the size of the tip of my little finger.
Monday on the way home from Nashville I detoured to my favorite "Witch Store". I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I did look for a pentacle but they were all big. Then it dawned on me to ask. She pulled out a basket full of small pentacles!:boing: I picked out my perfect one. Ask for a silver chain. "Sorry all we have right now is cords."
:( "That's OK"
"Wait I do have one right here! Let me run a clothe over it. Give me the pentacle and I'll put it on there too. - Look how pretty!"
:boing: :bigredgri :boing: :bigredgri
I'M SO PROUD AND EXCITED!

I have a tiny one too. It's supposed to be for a pet, but I wear it on a silve chain. It was actually my first.

The local stores that carried things like that where I live went out of business. One quit business last Febuary (the owners retired from the cafe/bookstore business) and the other last September (trouble finding a building thus cutting into her business). But before she did close I found a treskele that was just perfect for me. I sure do miss those shops.

I have a bitty one that I found at an arts and crafts festival a couple of years ago. I just bought the pendant, which is silver and about 3/4" in diameter, for $3.00, as that was how much they were selling the individual charms for. It was actually a booth where you make your own necklace, but I didn't have enough money to do that, so I was just occupying myself with looking at all of the pretty charms and beads while I waited on my mum who was looking at something at another booth. I came across this tiny pentacle - the only one its size, mind you, the rest were all about the size of a nickel or a quarter. Of course I had to buy it - the pentacle I had at the time was huge, gaudy, and kind of ostentatious, so I always wore it under my shirt. I was more than happy to retire that one to hanging in my window (where it looks much better, might I add.) and I have been wearing this tiny one ever since. I'm always on the lookout for something a little more special or personal than just this plain one, but until then, this one is perfect.

My treskele is about the size of a dime on a 30 inch silver chain. It's just the perfect size to be wearing all the time. It's about a plain as you can get. But for me, that's just how I like it. I've seen fancier treskeles, but it was a bit to fancy for me, I'm not one for frillies like lace and flowery stuff. I'd like to find a ring to match it though.

I love my pentacle. Its the size of a quarter, which I like. Its a pentacle of Venus with significant rune carvings in it and other markings.
