Flaire, you know I'm married to a drummer, right?
You really gotta care alot for a drummer; a singer's mic bag is a whole lot easier to carry and transport and store, (I've got a 6 foot tall stack of drums behind me right now) than a 14,000 pound drum kit.....
And sitting in the back seat of the car while the kick drum is in the front takes some getting used to....:D

Hey, I'd never make Flairesies take a back seat to my kick drum. No way. She just has to be holding a towel for me in case I come to her all bloodied because my cymbal cracked me in the head because my stupid stand collapsed on me...:shot:... but it's all good.

Hey there!
Any friend of Flaire's is a friend of mine, and all of MW!!
But ack! Another musician????
;)
edited to explain: My hubby (not a MW member) is a guitarist and singer and usually I can't walk through the basement because of guitars, cables, mics and lots of other crap, I mean expensive equipment is in it.

Even if it meant you couldn't take your kick drum?:p
Actually, that only happened once. They rehearse at the singers house, and he totes the drum in his van for us.
Tommy hasn't been cracked in the head by a cymbal, but his throne is old and he has been thrown off of it a few times. He was a little banged up when he was tipped off the back of a 4 foot high outdoor stage into the gravel that one time..... :D

:rotfl:
I feel for you, Semele....
Fortunately, other than various percussion pieces, Tommy hasn't collected too much other equipment. (He uses the back of his acoustic guitar for a drum. )
Unfortunately his other passion is vintage audio equipment. Now I ask you, what need is there for 7 receivers, 1 amp/tuner combo, 9 pairs of speakers, 2 reel-to-reels, 3 cassette players, 4 equalizers, 2 mixers, 2 turntables, 1 reverb box, an eight-track player, (I about crapped when he bought that last year...), plus 4 cd players, a minidisc recorder, 3 newer cassette decks, a cd burner, and I know there's more that I can't think of....
I will, however, freely admit that unless you've got many thousands to spend on modern audio equipment, that this vintage stuff sounds soooo much better than today's equipment.

Shh...I'd be driving. ;)
 But... $10 says I'd have more crap to take along than he would... (But I can shove all mine into 1 bag..seeing as it's all small stuff) :D
