I don't know if this has been addressed before?

I have found, at least, the type of Goddess who is my patroness. She has been inspiring me and calling me for I while and I recently realized this. How do you get closer to her? Should I find a specific name to use or will it come to me? I don't want her to go dormant in my life because I've let this opporunity slip by. Can that happen? Any help is appreciated.

I don't think it could go dormant. Just be patient. She will come to you when the time is right. Sometimes when you least expect it, that's when you find answers.

Besides I'm sure your heart already knows her name and so she hears it when you address her already. In time you will know her with your whole being take what she gives and give in return she will come.

Be assured....The Lady knows YOU. We only stop feeling Her presence when we get caught up in life's trials and do not look to Her for guidance. That feeling you speak of will grow stronger more than likely as time passes. I used meditation as a tool to get better connected. I would guide myself into my sacred space with the intent of finding Her, then I would wait patiently under my "tree" until a spirit guide or animal totem came to guide me to Her. There were times in meditation that I would feel drawn to keep walking and the Path would lead to Her...in a cave, or a natural space of great beauty. Play with it. As said before...Your heart knows...and calls Her name each time you think on it.

My first few years of study, I did not know who the goddess was. No one tells you. I found out later that, with 10,000 names, everyone worships a different goddess. Yeesh!!! I was patient, though, and she came to me at last. As a child, my favorite Superhero was Isis, another witch told me the story of Isis and Osiris immediately upon meeting me, and finally, I stumbled onto her temple in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and she's been with me ever since.

This past weekend I couldn't feel her presence because it was hectic and I wasn't home. When I got back I realized that had happened. I will be patient and listen to my heart. :heartthro and try to meditate. The answers are always around us, I guess I'm learning to see them when I find them.

As Yvonne says, your heart already has a name for your Goddess. Not only open your heart during oyur daily life, but open your heart to the dreams you have at night. I think Her name will come to you when you least expect it. :)
