View Full Version : A couple of questions regarding chakras and auras

Alright...so I have an interesting situation here. I'm trying to help someone, but I'm not really terribly knowledgeable with auras and chakras and the like. I am the only person that this individual will go to for help, so I'm doing what I can.

I'm not abjectly stupid with these things, I've been able to determine that her throat chakra is the most active and that hear heart chakra is extremely protected- turned in on itself, so to speak, and her third eye...it comes across in my mind as having a sort of shade over it.

I've tried reading about this on the net, and mostly just find a bunch of "just hold a crystal over it for a few minutes every day" or "send good energy to it every day" text-bites of advice which seem ridiculously simplistic. I have a hard time believing that it's that easy to get chakras working properly.

I am a reiki 2 (yes, I know. As such, I should probably know more about chakras...well, I don't use it that much or do much of anyhitng with it, mostly because even back when I was using it on a regular basis, it never really had much of an effect on anything that I could appreciate, even over a longer period of time. I've found that a couple of other forms of energy work are far more useful for me.) so trying some work with that could be one option, but I wanted to see if anyone had some other ideas.

Also, if anyone has ever heard of or is at all familiar with auras that seem to be unusually-constructed or modified? I get a sense from this person of a "hard shell" at some layer in the aura, as well as alock that I think is connected to the pulled-in heart chakra. Has anyone heard of anyhting like this, or does it sound totally nuts?

(All of this, by the way, at least makes sense to her, and she's come up with a couple of the same ideas on her own. So...I don't think I'm completely crazy here.)

well, the first thing i would do is clear her entire aura. start at one end or the other, and flush her field with energy. then look at each chakra in turn. focus on balancing them, not opening any particular one. chakras work in concert, and you need to focus on them all. with heart imbalances I also focus on the root and crown chakras, because they balance each other. and with the throat, i would look at the solar plexus. they are a pair, and if the throat is very developed then the solar plexus is probally diminished. energizing it should reduce the throat. if the heart is so closed, you want to take it slow. it might be motnths befor you can heal that. and is the heart "closed in hte front or the back? the back of a chakra is where the energy enters the body.

^ What Taliesyn said.

I find that drawing both earth energy and cosmic/universal energy helps to balance everything. And I definately agree that this isn't the same as releasing a blockage in a meridian, it's more about all the chakras being in balance so the energy flows smoothly.

However, I'm not sure that Reiki or something similar will be enough. It's possible the client also needs to talk to a therapist or counselor, or even finds a support group online (some might be more comfortable with the anonymity of an online group).

I will usually balance chakras with a meditation, that I will walk the person through.
A nother way is to use a pendulum. I will do this before and after a session. Just hold it over the chakra and it will move by itself, balancing the energy, opening it or lessening the opening if too wide. I start with the root first and move up.

I always ask for my guides to help for extra healing. Do what feels right to you, Reiki is powerful , you are the conductor for it it knows what to do.

I'm no expert when it comes to chakras and the aura, but I was wondering perhaps her heart chakra is closed off because your client may have experienced some abuse in the past. And in doing so, closed her heart chakra off, in order to protect herself from further abuse or hurt.

Hope this helps. :)

I agree with what's been said. I think the closed off Heart chakra and the "hard shelled" aura are very related to protection & are probably a defense mechanism.

And, what you read online about stones, while simplistic, can help a bit. Using stones that are associated with particular chakras can strengthen them, but it won't completely fix them. I'd suggest a stone that will strengthen her solar plexus, as well as one that will strengthen her heart.

I've had personal experienc trying to give Reiki to a client who had a strong personal shield due to a trauma from her early childhood. The shield was incredibly strong, and completely unconscious; she really did want to receive the Reiki, at least consciously, but she could not allow me in.

Remember, chakras and auras are related (and they are all connected with the physical body, the emotions and the mind), so it makes sense that you are finding a very protected heart chakra and a "hard shell" within her aura.

You may have to work with your friend over a period of time, and all the advice given here would be things that I would recommend (including the crystals and the counselor). Affirmations can be useful tools as well; help her choose some that directly relate to the affected chakras. But remember, no matter how hard you try to help her, she must also be willing and ready to be healed. That "shaded" third eye hints that she may not be ready to face whatever is affecting her.
