Divination

I am having a hard time in divination. I could use some wise insight! I have successfully been using the pendulum and I have successfully used universal tarot when using the major arcana only but I cannot seem to get the depth I am seeking with the minor arcana cards. They make sense when I am practicing a "pretend reading" but I just cant seem to get it when doing an actual reading for someone else. Any suggestions of a tarot deck that may be more suitable for a beginner like myself would be greatly appreciated by me. I know that I must just keep trying until I find "the Deck" for me but that can get very expensive. I have been reading and researching for a little more than a year and i know i have a long way to go. But I am looking at this as an adventure. It took a few meditations to come up with that word but i believe it fits..at leasst for now
