How common are ghosts? Are they really around everwhere you go?

I've heard that ghosts are everywhere. To the ones that only draw a presence to the ones that appear as ordinary living people. So can ghosts make brief benign visits to houses that are otherwise not haunted? Sometimes I feel a presence in my house and sometimes I see smidgens in my perephial vision of shadows and mists. Alot of the time I see orbs flitter in front of me. But for the most part I know my small house is not haunted. There is no real place for a ghost to hide for long here. There's no basement. Just a crawl space and the attic is just a space of insulation and dust. There are just 2 bedrooms and a hallway kitchen. I never get a feeling of malicious presences, just random feelings of something there.

I used to be into ghosts but not so much now. I don't believe them to be spirits haunting this realm, but more like temporal events, echos through time... I think the occurance of ghosts would depend on the area's latent energy to power the haunting, on the strength of the person/event that becomes the ghost and the sensitivity of the person detecting the event.

It might be possible you are feeling something, not a ghost on this realm, but a creature/construct on the astral realm? There have been times when I was exploring AR and have had alien minds brush mine. I've not felt that feeling out of trance, but in some areas the barriers between the two places may be weak enough to let some traffic through.

I do always sense that I'm not alone. And if there are presences around me all the time or often enough, they are very shy and harmless. I see figures out of the corner of my eye and see them flitting away from my sight right when I turn my head slightly. I don't like the feeling of the presences because its like sitting at the front of the class when your the geek everyone picks on.
I do feel a different type of energy about myself that even I notice. And it could be so strong, but not in a psychic way, that I have such a strong pesonality clash with other people. I don;t have much friends and don't care because other people bore me or just don't share the smae interests.
Question: can certain haunting music attract paranormal beings? I listen to a large variety of music, but the kind that I'm always drawn to are the gothic and new age ones. Especially recently. My new fav. goth band is Nox Arcana. But I only like the melodies like Lullaby and Labrynth of Dreams. I'm just so drawn to things that are beyond beautiful. Sounds and images that send haunting shivers to my skin that only comes from the inside.
