Merry Meet,
I have'nt posted for awhile. Sorry!!!!!!
I was wondering if any of you have any  reservations about Rev. Hollingworth being named as Australia's new Governor-General (the Queen's representative in Australia as Australia is a constitutional monarchy).
I don't know about you guys but raises some concerns about the SUPPOSED separation of church and state.

Greetings Silvermoon!
I can see your concern here, having a secular representative in high politics does seem like a conflict of interest; i would be worried too...As for our own president...i didn't vote for the guy.

And in Canada, with Chretien and Day sucking up to the Shrub!?
I think they would prefer to sew their lips to his butt. :bigredgri

Its nice to know that Australia is not the only place in the world where :uzi:separation of church & state is being eroded :smash:.

;) Hi guys,
:o I forgot to mention that Rev Hollingworth has made some statements that concern me just as much or more than the separation of church and state dilemma   .
He :smash: attacked the repeal of witchcraft laws (especially in his home state of queensland) showing he had no understanding of paganism. His views on gays................. well we don't need to go there and you guys can probably guess that he's against it.

PS Why can't we let people have their own beliefs or live their own lives without making judgements on their beliefs, practice and orientations ??????????
