Not exactly a Tarot book, but it did give me a new insight to the meaning of Fool. It tells the story of Le Jardiniere, the court Fool of Mary, Queen of Scots. Her job was not only to amuse the queen, but tell her the truth and remind her that she was also just a mortal. The Fool could say things that an ordinary courtier could not, nor could just a regular servant of the palace. this truth-telling in jest and with wit is something that started me thinking.
