Sorry if this has been mentioned. But it's pretty disturbing to see some "Christians" admiting they are on a mission to ban Pagans & Witches from Youtube.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDEWFQASXFk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDEWFQASXFk)

This is posted on his page:
This channel is dedicated to the LEGEND-WARFAREOFSPIRIT(Nathan)

Some weeks back he decided to end the protest of all satanic-wiccan-and pagan channels.

We have decided to continue this until we end the negative influence that so many of these pagan channels have distorted the airways of youtube with.

He has had a vision and a purpose to protest and rid youtube of all pagan influences.

I invite all Christians to join me in this protest to do our part to ensure that the youth of America will not veiw these satanic channels!

this sounds less like some sort of effort by Christians and more of a giant flame war that has gotten out of hand. I wouldn't be concerned really.

I believe this has been going on for a very long time, I know the Atheist vs. Christian vloggers have been at each others throats for some time now. Just more Christian drama IMO, it will end up that site called pagantube or christiantube (if they don't already exist will spring up and they'll wage war there also.)

This person Or persons has gotten MANY Pagan Youtube accounts banned.

I'm skeptical of this, if the accounts where banned then it's likely they actually did something to warrant it, Youtube is pretty good about not banning people due to baseless complaints, and when does happen they are usually fairly quick to reinstate accounts, at least in my experience.

I'm tempted to go make a "Pagans are cool" video now. Maybe just a video of my dog with text at the bottom saying that Pagans are awesome. Or maybe one that just says, "Hail Satan!"

The people on that list haven't done anything warranting a ban. If an account gets flagged enough (whether it deserves it or not) the account gets banned. That's what happened to tanhaus. If you ask me, an account should be looked over before it's banned. If the account's videos meet the TOS they should clear the flags. People on youtube like ShockAweNow and WarfareofSpirit are the ones who should be kicked off youtube for pulling this BS.

That's what happens in my experience, that's YouTube policy as well. I know people who have gotten banned because a bunch of people who disagreed with their political videos flagged them, all they had to do to get their account reinstated was e-mail YouTube and explain the situation.

So long as the Pagan user has the videos on their hard drive they can just create a separate account and get the message out that way.

I am wondering if this video is really by a Christian poster, it does more to damage and discredit their camp than anything else. If I was a clever poster (I'd not get into flame wars in the first place) I'd spread material like this around to stir many pots and make the side look like idiots :)

Something like that happened at our school library.. But the books were removed from the school database, and removed from shelves the day after I returned them.

It's not exactly "just more Christian drama", it could also be "just more Pagan drama" or "just more human drama", although, considering I don't watch Pagan videos on Youtube, I don't actually care one way or the other.

I'm going to agree with Nox_Mortus, Youtube isn't run by anything like fundamentalist Christians, if someone was banned, they likely did something wrong. That said, I don't think that guy "tannhaus" is any great loss to Youtube, I mean, judging by his videos, it was all about "debunking Christianity" or something similar (e.g. Biblical Myths are "similar" to Egyptian or other Myths, etc). I'll stand by remark, I'm not really bothered.

Then they can email Youtube, like Nox_Mortus said, but, then, maybe it's "better" for them to remain banned and they can complain about the "persecution" they're receiving. It's funny, but, I bet if a Christian (or Jew, Muslim, Atheist) got banned 'cause of Pagans doing it, people would be cheering, or, maybe not directly, but, they're wouldn't be as much as outburst.

Considering most the Pagan books you get in libaries (SRW, and others), again, it's not that great of a loss, although, maybe, there should be better security. Also, how do you know the books were stolen by Christians, they could have been kept by Pagans who wanted the book, but, didn't want to have to buy it, or they were just too embarrassed to return them, if you've seen some people take out Pagan books, they'll, covertly, go over, pick one up, try and hide it, run over to another section of the shop or library, and then head to the counter, like they've got a stack of porn.

The pagans I've seen on youtube dont really go around flagging other people's videos, Christian or Not. BlueFireWitch and AmberThinks (as well as the others) may make response videos yeah, but they really dont go flagging Christians on there. They've sort of got a "Don't bite me, I wont bite you" thing. They're sort of chill until someone starts giving them crap because they're Pagan. WarfareofSpirit and ShockAweNow, for example, were making terrible threats to the more outright Pagans like BlueFire and Amber. Then they fought back harder with thier own response vids.

Nothing is going to happen. And if you get banned from you tube just make another account. Even if it is really christians doing it your going to have stupid people no matter their religion. They want a reaction so they can point and go look at all the crazy pagans.

It sounds like all 4 of those people need to get a life, so, I'm not really feeling for those Pagas (or those Christians either).

It still amazes me. We got a Christian group threatening Pagans and the first response is to defend Christianity and sweep it under the rug.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Not all Christians are out to get us but this sort of attitude is really going to turn around and bite us in the rear end one day soon.

Someone comes after our faith we had better be ready to defend it.

Actually, that library had several nice pagany-themed children's books. It was the librarian that told me why there were not more pagan books there. I believe someone flat out told her that was what happening.

ETA: "You might as well stop stocking those books, we will keep taking them off the shelf..." That sort of thing.

, and I'm going to agree, somehow, I don't see how one group, or several individuals, on Youtube are going to turn into "witch hunts" and a new Inquisition (and, if there is a new Inquisition, it's the Jews and LGBT people that would have to worry, like the last Inquisition). So, I'm not worried about my own safety, I mean, it's only Youtube, maybe this will inspire the Pagans who've been banned to get a life, and get off their computers, making videos.

Well, then, that's illegal, or should be anyway, maybe the library needs better security, or maybe those people just need lives, and should be told "you keep taking them, we'll still be Pagan". That said, if they're taking books like SRW, and others, off the shelves, I say, continue on, continue on, they're doing a great work of charity for us all :boing:!.

Heh, kinda reminds me of some argument I saw on one of Lordi's videos, where some christians tried calling the band satanist, which they aren't, and the satanists on there started flaming the christians with the wrong stereotypes, and the christians responded with even more wrong stereotypes. I couldn't stop laughing at it, but this does bring up an important topic. Why are these people being allowed to spread a message of hate and intolerance so publicly? It's disgusting how these people remains so close minded simply because they have some chip on their shoulder the size of vatican city.
