Attunements by different people?

I'm just wondering if there is a downside to having Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 attunements done by different people. (I'm attuned to Usui Reiki and Seichem)

I had my reiki I and II done distantly by the same person. My reiki III was done by a friend, in person and in her home. I don't see a problem with receiving attunements from different people as long as you're using the same system. You may want to read up on each person's style & philosophies before hand, just to make sure they closely match. Lots of people have their own flavor to their attunements.

The power for the attunement comes from the universe. It doesn't matter who does them, as long as they are a master. The energy is the same. I think it also might add a perspective that those who have the same person do all three won't have. The fact that 3 masters have found you worthy and not just one. To me that is a huge bonus to be honest.

There are many debates on this topic.....
Attunements can be given from a Reiki Teacher or a self attunement Ritual...........from different Teachers or the from the same.....

The only thing you have to think about is the lineage of The Reiki.......

If For Certification you wish to have your lineage recongnized........then I suggest before you complete Reiki3 have the teacher Attune you to Reiki1 and Reiki2.......it brings the lineage into alignment.... and should not cost you any extra.......Part of the training......

Trust in how you feel.........Do what is right for you.......

you know, i dont belive in self attunmet, self inniation, any of that junk. you can do energy work without "attunements" but you cannot have something passed onto you by no one.

in my opinion, just drop the act. who is is serving anyway? does the client or the energy care what you call your self? or is it ego?

I have been an energy healer for 22 years. I have only been attuned for 1. sure it makes a difference. but it is not nessecary.

It is important in what ever you do in life you do with integrity...and when learning and sharing information with others that we do so with love ............There are many opinions we may not agree with....that is fine, but I am sure we can do so in a loving way............

In my opinion...........There are many Energy Healers of many different forms of modalities...some are natural healing and have no need for certification or learning from anyone else, they are just within us.........and no one can take it away........
Others are more specific in it's teachings and learnings...and Reiki is one of them.........and requires an attunment...whether from a self-attunment, through Universal Diety or from a Teacher/Master channelling the symbols from Universal Deity........
None of the modalities or abilties are better than any of the others, they are different.......they all work within each of us...... and sometimes we find clients that don't have a specific need to know what we call ourselves but yet sometimes we have clients who are very specific in what they expect.......so I think sometimes it is important we know who we are and what we are about......sometimes clients do not need to know of certification you hold but sometimes yes clients do want to see what qualifications you hold when dealing with their healing.......
This is a personal opinion which may differ from others.........
I am not saying I am right but this is what feels right to me.............

I liken it to Scott Cunningham when he says read as much as you can, take note of the 10% you agree with and discard the rest.....(with love...)
