Biology

BIOLOGY is so hard. I'm a freshman at H.S. and it is the hardest subject apart from Spanish. I get part of it, but because New York state wants to be the only state that has their own meaning for a term, it messes everything up. One term has like 4 meanins to it. Geez Louise!! I took the Quater-Final and scored a 67 but I studied my bootay off for hours.:(

in New York State! Yup, I teach Living Environment in New York, so if you've got any major conceptual problems, just let me know here and I can possibly contact you via email if you want. As I tell my students, vocab is a major issue in the course, so I make "flashcards" for them for every unit. If you can do that yourself on index cards and really KNOW them cold, that's half your battle! It's tough, but if you're willing to study for hours then you've got the toughest battle licked. Good luck and don't give up!

PS - I'm a newbie at the Craft, but this is one area I know a LOT about!!

Science and math were not my strong points.
But when I went to college I was determined to do well in biology.
After class I alotted an hour and would re-write all my notes. I dont' remember what I scored but I do remember that I was pleasnatly surprised when the grades came out. Maybe you could try something like that.:)

Biology is also part of the study of the craft, the more you know the more sense everything makes... so study hard.. you will have the ground rules for so many things we strive to understand. After all these are the occult sciences.... :)

Latin is god. I'm in Latin... it's awesome. Helps you out with SO much stuff. Especially if you want to learn Spanish. Since Spanish is derived from Latin, it makes it so much easier to understand...
