Crystal/gem advice

Hi,:D

I don't know if i'm posting in the right place but I'd like some adivice regarding crystals/gems.
My friend has had a baby boy (Friday night at 11:55pm) and I was wondering what crystal/gem to give to him for protection? I generally intended giving turquoise, but would like some help as to whether or not it's appropriate or if there's other stones I can give? Am I right with thinking that turquoise is apt??!! Help!!!!:rolleyes:

What about a small bag with several different stones for health and protection? Maybe even prosperity in the hopes that he would always have lots of things that are good and positive in his life?

Alrighty, love these types of questions! I'm a collector...ok, rock geek... :lol:

Since he was born in Scorpio (me too!) a piece of citrine would be great! They are always giving off positive energy and never need cleansing like other stones do because they don't absorb any negative energies.

They are also good for prosperity so it would be a great stone for a baby to wish them "a prosperous life."

Cheers both of you for the info and help! It's really appreciated!:D I'm going to give a bag of mixed stones (including the turquoise that I had initially intended!:) ) but I'll make sure there's at least two citrines in there!!
