We just learned that my boyfriend's father has some lumps in his throat - possibly cancerous, but nothing is positive yet. He is going for an MRI today and a biopsy tomorrow and we just have to wait and hope for the best. Any stray thoughts or prayers would be appreciated. Thank you.

Update: Well, this past Friday, the biopsy showed cancerous cells in the lumps in his neck. Turns out that the lumps are metastatic and they have to go back this thursday for a more thorough biopsy to find the true source of the cancer - though apparently the doctor is leaning toward the lungs. Not looking at a good prognosis either way. My SO is not dealing well, very angry but trying to repress it b/c he has never coped well with things like this. On the slightly upside, though, my SO's dad is doing pretty well, staying as positive as he can and trying to be informed, doing some research on his own. He's a very "just deal with it" kind of guy, very old school, and otherwise he's just living life as he normally would. It's all we can do at this point. Your thoughts and prayers and candles mean very much to me and are greatly appreciated.
