Hey all!

Well... our poor old car is smashed. A deer decided to jump on it. Airbags deployed injuring my left hand, made my ears ring, and scared the crap outta me. The right front panelling was dented so I can't open my door all the way. The right front headlight is smashed. The deer's antlers hit the windshield creating a nice spider web for us.

We decided not to get the ol' 97 Ford Escort fixed. He was on his last legs and I feel he saved us as a last push. He's doesn't seem to sad about leaving. Bigsby was a good car... I'm taking a small piece of him later today.

Well, my parents are coming in 5 hours to pick us up to take us to the local dealer to get a car. I'm aiming for the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire.. for under $6995. Yeah! I can't wait.

So, if you all would send me and hubby good energies.. we'd be very happy. :)

I am officially unemployed. I couldn't go in the last 2 days of work because Bigsby was our only car. I didn't get to say good-bye. I am laid off.

Hubby needs the car today! We need to get insurance for it today.. so he can go to work today. Of course today being Monday, Nov 11. We're thinking about going through met life.. but I think we need to send off for that..

So.. any happy thoughts you wanna send our way.. send 'em! I plan on going to walmart to put in an application for xmas temp. I hope it goes well.

Oh, and we're giving Bigsby back to hubby's mom.. smashed. She can deal with it. Hell, she wanted us to fix it so she could take it back and give it to her boyfriend's oldest son. *shrug* So she can pay for the smashed-up thing. It wasn't in hubby's name so he has no obligation (technically) to pay for it. Morally he does. But then.. I hold grudges for years. *eg*

And to top it off.. his own mother's FATHER said not to pay on the car anymore (as we were making payments). If we went to give him the money, he wouldn't send it off. He wants to car to go back to her and look bad on her credit. She's been screwing up hubby's credit all his life (aka. putting HIS ssn and name on HER utilities when hubby didn't even live with her and then not paying them so hubby got overdue notices for utilities he wasn't using).

There's the story. :) If you don't wanna send good energies, you dont have to. I just really need this today..

Thanks. :D

We got the car!

Red Pontiac Sunfire. 2001. Insurance is only 89 a month. 4 door, 4 cylindar, cd player. Doesn't have auto lock or auto windows.. but I don't care.

I named her Sabrina. :D Too bad I can't drive her yet. Payments are low, too. Just over 200 a month. :D:D

Thanks all who sent energies. My dad co-signed but that's okay! We got to be on their insurance because of it. ;)

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who keeps pieces of my old cars for sentimental value.

Congratulations on the new car, Loki!!

*soft smile* Loki....

Tip about your hubby's SSN and credit report.

Call the three credit bureaus: Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union
(numbers can be found in a google search)

Ask them what you need to do to file an Indentity Theft or Credit Fraud report.

*smiles* If your husband does that...what will happen is a little notice will appear on his credit that requires anyone who pulls his credit (i.e. to sign him up for a card or utilities or even house rental) notifying them that they have to contact your husband before doing *anything* else to verify that he requested it.

That should stop his mother from doing things like that. And honestly if you really wanted to persue the matter, it's totally illegal for her to be using his SSN for anything. That along constitutes identity theft and credit fraud. *smiles and shrugs*

*hugs* And I'm glad you're okay! Congrats on the new car.
