View Full Version : Positive visualization and disappointment (and a doozy question from me)

Ok this must be one of my weirdest questions here. And I know I get some odd ones out... so sorry in advance.

How do you protect yourself from being disapppointed when doing positive visualizations if they don't come to pass? I know I sound like a nut, but I really want a new house. (long and boring story, eh?) I have been trying to think as positively as I can about it, but I can't bring myself to really do a full blown medititation/visualization of owning the house, being in the house, etc. I am scared that if I start to believe it is real and then it doesn't happen, I will be severely disappointed.

Do any of you ever feel that way, when something is pretty important to you, it makes it harder and scarier to "see"? Any suggestions on how to get around that?

Chris~still insane heh heh!

Not such a doozy. I keep in mind that it may take a long time to happen or may happen in a way that I don't expect.

Ever since I bought my house I've regretted not buying a bigger one. I've consoled myself by reminding myself that the size of this mobile home has saved me a bundle on utility payments.

Well.........I later met Flar.......and the first time I went to his house I was blown away. He lives in the house I'd been visualizing :)

Ok one thing you don't wanna do is do magic about this if you're major worry is being disappointed - you simply can't let that thinking in. You have to be absolutely convinced you deserve your house, period.

Easier said then done right? Ok so you know doubts come up - so when they do, squash 'em. Do *not* let yourself doubt. You must within yourself decide this will be done, period! You must resolve to do everything magically and mundanely to get it. You must think like it's already in the works, because it is - you must manifest absolute positive yes. When you start to go "but, what if.." stop yourself. If you have to, take a break and don't think about it for awhile - keep your mind busy, and then go back and concentrate again. Remind yourself you deserve this and you will get it.

Also, if it doesn't happen right away, don't give up or let yourself doubt. Never ever let yourself attach doubt or worry to it, keep working magic and mundane on it. It will happen, and not only that, it is in the works right now.

*wails* But it is just sooo hard!!!

*laughs*

It seems so impossible, between wanting everything to go smoothly as well as needing to come up with what looks now to be a huge chunk of money. I already know I will have to go back to work, or what I hope to do: watch kids in my home. But the doubts sometimes feel insurmountable. I'll have to keep track of what is on my mind- especially when my insomnia kicks in.

:smash: That's me squashing my doubts. :p

Raevyn, thank you for that post. I'm feeling the same way about getting another job. I've applied for so many that I've lost count of how many resumes I've submitted and which companies I've applied to.

I recently read that "So Mote It Be" literally means what you just said.
