View Full Version : Meditation Question

I wasn't quite sure where to post this, so I thought this would be the best forum.

I have come against a "wall" of sorts when I meditate. As I get deeper into the trance, I begin to feel as though my soul is trying to escape my body. I feel a presence inside of me (my own, assumably) trying to ascend, but it has trouble exiting my fleshly body. I have tried to visualize my spirit-being gently flying, flashing out, orbing, and doing all kinds of lovely tricks to help it free, but it doesn't seem to work. Am I alone in this experience? Is it a bad thing when you get this sensation? Any ideas/suggestions/stories?

I have that feeling alot at night when I am about to go to sleep. For some reason I wake up startled. But I can Feel my spirit exiting through the soles of my feet. I don't know of anything to help relax and allow it to just unfold though.

I bumped a couple threads for ya...

Good luck! I can do this (usually), but I can't tell ya how... :ahhhh:

Well, I'll keep trying.

As the great sage Aaliyah once sang (hehehe), "If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again!!"

I am making SOME progress, though. When I awoke this morning, I could feel my soul slowly re-entering my body as I became more and more alert. It was quite rejuvenating. :)

I don't think it's bad. I've had this happen, and when I tried to assist it a little too fast, I got partially OOB and then got bunched up in my feet. 8O

Hmm...I will be careful of those tricky feet, then!! ;)

Maybe you are right and it isn't such a bad thing. I will try just allowing the sensation to resonate and see what happens. :) Thanx for the encouragement!
