I was cruising thru a tarot website just looking
at the different cards and their designs.
Then I came across these SoulCards...
I have never had a deck of cards talk to me
like these did thru the puter,
and I've been reading for 20+ years !
I looked at the brief description for them,
"no numbers, no definitions for individual cards..."
I thought to myself, okay this ought to be interesting...
You don't need definitions for these cards,
they speak to your intuition, to your soul !
I antisipated their arrival and wasn't disappointed,
I cleansed them, looked at the little book(not white!)
and choose to do a three card Mind, Body, and Soul reading.
OH WOW ! The words came flooding into my mind for these
cards laid in front of me.
A definite must for any card reader,
whether it be the origional SoulCards or SoulCards 2...
well worth the investment !!!

Congrats on finding a deck that 'speaks' to you so clearly. I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say that they are "a definite must for any card reader" though. One reason there are so many decks available is because we all are attracted to different things, and those things speak to us differently. The deck that is generally recommended for beginner readers is the Rider Waite deck, but I have never been able to read from that one. Honestly, I do best with Oracle decks or the Runes myself. I think your new deck is probably an Oracle deck. Those are the cards that seem most open to personal interpretation, in my opinion.

I bought the Soul Cards quite a few years ago and I've loved them ever since. :bigredgri Especially since any readings I do (meaning very few these days) seem very accurate.

And the art work is beautiful too! :uhhuhuh:

I'm glad you found them and that you're happy with them.

Sometimes my hands get going faster than my brain and who knows what they'll say LOL ~!~
Shaedema, I wouldn't have thought a few years ago a deck of cards with no prescribed meanings would have worked. Tho now I'm working on increasing my intuition, these cards sure help !

MsMoli- I've never really been able to remember all the meanings of a standard deck. (I'd have to have step by step help each time.) And have found that for some who have similar memory issues these cards are a wonderful tool.

Though....I don't like set meanings either.:smileroll Still... I've gotten friends to do readings for me that have been dead on target with their decks. :)

Looks like that page has a combination of the Original and the second set. But yep....those are the Soul Cards. :uhhuhuh:

I don't even have set meanings with my Rider deck, they're
always different cause they are next to other cards, that to
me anyway, makes them have different meanings... :boing:
Maybe it's just me but I've not seen/heard same messages
for the same cards; everything makes a difference, timing, people...etc
Quote: "with their deck" you know others with the SoulCards ?
Bellamandu, wer you thinking about getting a deck of them ?
They're cheaper on Amazon.com
As time goes on my memory trouble has gotten worse after
falling off the horse...what gets me is I fell off on the right side
of the horse, so why is the dent on the left side ?

My PackMate is currently working on her own deck which is probably more closely related to the SoulCards rather than a standard deck. :bigredgri

What I meant by 'set' meanings is that each card in a standard deck seems to have a specific area that they deal with (again this is from the view point of very little experience and tired of confusing images). Such as money or change or someone coming into the picture.

For me there are too many cards with too many meanings. It hurts my head to try to remember (even the basics) what is what and who is who and what they mean in which position (even the simple ones).

SoulCards by comparison are much easier because it is up to those who guide me (and my understanding of..) what each means in relation to the others and to the person I'm reading for.

So it is more my own inability to accept the 'set' meanings that makes the SoulCards so much more appealing to me.

Of course this could just be my own way of ignoring what I can't quite grasp. :toofless:

Ya know...I really never did too much rely on those books...
Oh yeah, of coarse I looked at them but they never really did give me the meanings that "felt right". So I went with my gut,
no matter what deck...
I should probably just do that very same thing with my deck
of Witch's Tarot by Cannon Reed...beings I can't seem to
comprehend the Qabalah right now...:veryweird can't even get past the
first chapter ! I've been wondering, since I've seen Ted Andrews has one that's suppose to be simplified Qabalah if it is ?
I just thought I'd try and understand if I could...must not be the right time for me ???
