Hey, I've been working on an idea to produce an interactive cartoon game that teaches magic basics to the game player as well as walks the player through simple rituals.

I've made a really short demo on my website, but I'm not sure if people would actually like it... or even find it useful. I figured I'd tell people here about it and if you all want to go check it out and give me some feedback, I'll find out if it's a project worth going after. :)
Sound good??

(Just a warning, I'm posting this thread in a couple places so I can get the word around to different groups. I hope the moderators and forum owners won't mind that too much. *smile and puppy dog eyes*)

I hope you guys will go check it out and tell me what you think!

No problem, Apple. :) I'm having trouble downloading-- I clicked the link for the player, and it took me to an announcement for a wedding. I couldn't really find the player. The demo said it had an error when I tried. :( It could just be my screwy computer though. :)

Humph... when I tested it it seemed to work. I've got so many ads up now I'd better make sure it works!

Loopy- Please try it again. I think I've fixed it now. The file was on my other site (the wedding announcement site)... it should be located at www.geocities.com/jennieandroidan/kamishibai.zip . If my site server hasn't uploaded the change yet you can download directly from the link above. I hope that'll help.

You're kind of like my test subject! Hee hee... thanks for helping me find the glitches already!

*is really excited*

Yay! This is so cool! My first download! You better fill out my feedback form then!

You know, the program I use to run the game (Kamishibai) is SOOOOO easy to run, I bet people out there in Virtual Pagan Land could even make stories and submit them to my site. We could have a library of stories to use. (I think I'm getting too far ahead of myself.)

All downloaded... When I try to play the lesson, I get a "Error! Sound directory not found (Line 10, Scene "Setup") Is this an error on my part?

I might possibly be the dumbest possible virtual guinea pig. ;)

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to add that that "Jennie and Roidan" story was the cutest thing ever. :D

Well Loopy, I've tried downloading it and trying it out... I don't have any problems. (Although my computer sucks so much that I had to restart it to get it to run instead of freeze up. It's funny how fast computers get slow.) Amethyst Rose also said she saw the demo... so I suppose everything SHOULD be ok.... Maybe try downloading it again? You could check the "gamefile.txt" file to make sure it doesn't have a whole bunch of scrambled messages in it? It should comprise of "@" symbols followed by key words like "image" and "music". I worry that because I've never zipped a file before that I may screw things up, but as far as I can see I don't think there's anything else I can fix...

Hmmm......

Oh well, try it again? :)
