We've got threads on make-up, cosmetic, and soap prefrences.
What about hats?
I'm interested to see how many of us like to wear hats, what kinds, and how often?
ME - of course I have my western hats, both of straw and felt. I usually just wear these at rodeos and horse shows. When I worked at a horse farm in GA. I'd wear one everyday.
My favorite is just a ball cap. I run my hair through the back of it. I wear them quite often as I don't like to "fix" my hair. When I worked at the stock yards I wore a cap everyday.
My favorite cap has a barrell raceer emboridered on it. I looked at it the other day and it's starting to get thread bear. My next favorite is one with my oldest sons middles school football team on the front and his number on the back.
Come on ya'll. Who wears hats?

I have a velvet Cavalier hat with 5 ostrich plumes of different shades for Ren Faires. Around town, in keeping with the fashion of wearing baseball caps backwards, I wear a football helmet backwards. I can't see, but it looks cool.

I don't look good in most hats:( and usually only wear one at Samhain! Flar and I saw Chamber of Secrets the other day and I did so admire the unique witchy hats.......I may try to make one like some of the ones I saw in the movie!

Bah, most hats make me look like a boy or a newsie. I'd like to get a bowler or a top hat though.

Ooooh! A top hat would be gorgeous...
Anyway, if and when I ever wear a hat, I wear a beret (that french artists' hat..:nyah: ) I have a ball cap, but I rarely ever wear it, because I usually have my hair in a ponytail or something & it feels more comfortable to wear the hat backwards.

I wear hats occassionally. I used to wear them more, but they
cause hair loss, and ol' Flar wants to keep his hair!
ballcaps
Indiana Jones style hats.
Cowboy hats (of a certain kind)

I used to wear hats all the time, but then I got my hair cut short, and when I do, I think I look like a boy.......until you look past my face that is...... :)
My old fav is my baseball cap that has Naughty written in silver studs across the front. My second fav is my EMS (Emergency Medical Services) baseball cap. It has a little cartoon ambulance on the front.

Occasionally I wear toques though my favorite was a pea green tweed bowler I once had. Sadly I loaned it out and never got it back. :(

I wear ball caps every so often. More often in the Spring/Summer, cause I'm actually PLAYING ball then. When I do I either wear an old hat from Eshallet's job. It's Green and says "Rockland County Parks Department" on it. But my FAVORITE one now is my Godsmack hat. Eshallet bought it for me around my birthday this past year. :D
I also have a floppy hat that I've nicknamed my "tour hat". It's a brown soft leather hat. I LOVE this hat. I wear it to every Dead show I've gone too.
But now that winter is almost here, I wear your standard knit hat, but I have such icky hair, i hate wearing it, cause my hair always comes out flat after wearing it. *sigh*

I wear an Irish wool cap everyday, one of those handmade ones from donegal. Got it from my Grandda when he died.

I don't wear hats normally, but in the wintertime, I wear a beautiful black hat that's small, flat, and comparable to a beret...but not quite. I'm also planning on buying another hat, but am lacking the funds at the moment. I tend to look quite good in hats, but I don't wear them often, as they get to be a bother.

I used to have a collection of pillbox hats like was worn back in the time the Kennedy's were in the whitehouse. They got ruined in a flood and I haven't been able to replace them since.

do you remember the oil crisis of the seventies, when we all had
to wear cats on our heads?
Or was that just around my town?:D

I don't have any hats, really, save one.. it's my Austrailian police hat. :D I love that thing. It's from about 20 years or so ago, though, so I don't know how recent it is!

the only hats that you can garuantee that I'll be seen in is my uniform hats, my BDU cap and my Flight cap, both of which I hate, and both of which I wear as little as possible.

If I wear a hat, it's an old, blue, faded ball cap that says "Ancient Mountain God" on it. I bought it as some national park or another years ago.

I'm a big fan of hats. I wear a Misfits hat all the time... and a System of a Down hat, both baseball caps. I used to wear a top hat all the time. Now, for work, I have to wear Santa hats. I like hats.

I'd like to have one of those ball cap/Santa hats.
You know what I'm talking about?
A red ball cap with the droopy tail and the fuzzy white ball on the end.

You know... I wasn't going to post a reply here because I'm not a big fan of hats for myself (despite owning numerous hats. mostly baseball style ones), but everytime I saw the topic title, I have to have a little giggle :T
My daughter has been taught by her daycare centre (and reinforced by us) that if you don't have a hat, you don't get to play outside. So now she goes around telling everyone 'NO HAT, NO PLAY!'

If I wear a hat, which is quite a rare occasion, I prefer my old military-green fishing style hat, which does hang over my eyes a bit and make me look child-like. I've had it forever and I can;t remember where I even got it but it works, like today, when it was snowing like mad and I hadn't dug out my snow wool-cap thingie yet.

I don't look good in hats at ALL, but there is one I found that I actually liked (it's Prada), so I bought two! I have a few other random hats that work for me, sorta...but the Prada ones are my faves.

I LOVE hats!! I have a dozen or so around here. I have several berets (I'm trying to track down a place to buy velvet berets) & hats for every season.
At work I wear a hard hat around the plant, but in the office & lab I often wear a beret or a sort of rolled-brim squishy hat (that's obviously hard to explain).

let's see..., there's my old bowler i used to wear with my black suit, a glengarry bonnet with a canadian argyll & sutherland badge, (the badge a gift from an officer of the regiment.) a brown khaki military beret with a second legion paras brass (another gift from an old comrade). a civil war blue "forage cap" with cavalry brass, a tan khaki u.s. style "ranger/b.d.u." cap (no brass). a white "police style" motorcycle helmet and my old g.i. helmet, and somewhere around my old, battered, greasy, smelly western style truckers "million mile hat".
