Michael Jackson is one sick puppy.
Children should never be left in the care of this man.
If you haven't already seen the horrifying footage of Michael holding a baby with one arm over the side of a five story balcony ...you probably will. The baby has a towel over it's head and is kicking his/her legs in appearant panic. The baby's feet even get hung on the rail as Michael drags them over to shock an audience 5 stories below by hanging this baby over the balcony rail for a brief moment.
If this would have been anyone other than Michael, his/her children would be in the custody and care DSS or some other or organization.
What will happen?
It is inhumane to leave a child in the custody this man. (IMHO)

What an idiot! no-one in their mind would have such apparent disregard for a child's safety.
People can be banned from having pets if they mis-treat them, I don't see why some folk can't be banned from going anywhere near children...

I saw that yesterday. It was awful. What the crap was he doing? What was he thinking? It was terrible. There were two things that made that video really bad. I understand he's a moron who probably didn't learn great parenting skills from his parents and being in the spotlight all the time is something I don't understand so I can't really put myself in his shoes. BUT. If he wanted to show the baby to the press, he didn't have to just sling it over the railing. What ticked me off was that he had the baby with one hand and while he should have been supporting the baby's butt with his other, he was using it to make sure the baby's face stayed covered. If he had just supported the rest of the baby with that hand, then the second thing that really upset me wouldn't have happened. It was the kicking. I don't know if it is a natural reflex or if it was incdeed panic but it was very unnerving.

You know, Oliver Wendell Holmes was in favor of sterilizing some sections of the population. When I first read about it I thought it was terrible for an otherwise intelligent man to feel this way. Then I see something like this or meet the people I did when teaching in public schools or my brief stint with the cops and think, "Maybe the old boy was onto something."
I always thought Michael Jackson was proof positive that sometimes you can judge a book by its cover.

Yet Mr Jackson's friend Uri Geller (the spoon bender) is still holding to to the theory that it may have been a faked stunt.
After hearing about the many madnesses of Michael Jackson I think not...

Mithrea,
I think you are on to something here.
While I could not possibly know what was going on in that twisted head of his at the time, I think this was a publicity stunt. If I am right, then he is truly warped.
What is so disturbing is that he realizes that he can get away with his dangerous and outraging behavior, because of who he is. When a sick minded individual begins to think that way, it is a very frightening situation.

He makes me sick. He has always made me sick. And this is just one more thing to make me sick.
The irony of this whole b***s*** thing is that he was in Berlin to accept a **HUMANITARIAN* award!!
I cannot understand why he receives awards such as these. I wish that the awarding company would rescind it, in a very public manner.
I wouldn't let my kids be in a mile radius of him for a million dollars.

I heard this morning that they are not going press any charges on him for it .Yet if it was any of us our kid would be gone faster than we could blink. It just goest to show if you are famous and rich you can get away with anything again sick sick sick world !!!!

That abomination will do ANYTHING to get news nowadays. Dangle kids from balconies, allege racism for failure of his crappy music to sell, etc. Personally, for the aesthetic good will of all, he should be tied to a stake and burned, although he'd probably just melt into a puddle of gelatinous goo. And if his freakish appearance doesnt mandate death, surely his track record with child molestation should.

IMO...Michael Jackson needs to be put in a high security psychological hospital. He is a danger to himself (all of the repeated plastic surgeries prove that much), and to others. I have compassion for the man..based upon his psychotic upbringing...but..it's that compassion that wants me to see him put in a straightjacket, in a padded room. Yes..I'm outraged that he continues to get away with these stunts. Outraged more, because it doesn't seem as if people see the need to stop this man. Outraged more, because it seems his fame, and his money, makes him immune to people really understanding how incredibly warped he is, and how desperately he needs to be medicated/observed/treated. I don't think he's an "evil" person. I think he's a seriously mentally disturbed person.
I don't think his actions were a publicity stunt, actually. I think they were an action of anger. The current law suits, all of the paparrazzi, the news about his nose..coinciding so conveniently with this "stunt", eh? He's angry. And I think that what he actually WANTS is for somebody to stop him. Somebody to actually not bow to his fame, and his fortune, and to give him the help that he needs.
I think it's similar to all those stories of teens cutting themselves as cries for help. Michael Jackson, in all his strangeness, and all his sickness, IS crying for help. But for whatever reason, he's unable, or unwilling to admit that he needs that help. So he acts out in these ways..by destroying himself, and putting others in danger (if not actually committing harm, as in the molestation suits), hoping to force others into doing FOR him, what he seems unable to do for himself. Stopping his insanity. Putting him in a hospital. Locking him up.
That's my opinion.

You know he has all these famous friends, not to mention his family. Why hasn't someone close to him said anything? He's like BEST friends with Diana Ross (she ain't all that stable herself) and Liz Taylor. Not to mention his sister, Janet. Someone should just say "Enough" and get him what he needs. The video is frightening to watch.

November 20th, 2002, 12:33 PM
I'm not sure, Old Witch. One thing makes me think that it would perhaps have been differen't had it happened in the US. Michael Jackson doesn't have quite the huge following here, these days, as he does overseas. Perhaps because of that, our tolerance is lower to his behavior. But..then again, we keep watching the news whenever an article pops up about him. We keep buying the tabloids. And he DID get away in the Chid Molestation cases...so...obviosly, there is something about this man which appeals to our curiosity, or voyeurism. Perhaps he is one of our Modern Day Monsters. Nobody really likes to see a Monster killed, now do we? They titillate us too much. They create fascination, a source for gossip. Something to compare ourselves with ..."Hey...you think IM insane? Look at Michael Jackson. Now that guy's a whacko!". They serve as sort of a moral compass, only..in reverse. We don't want to be like him...so...we poke fun at him, and put him at the center of our gossip. It deflects the interest in our OWN faults. To do what would be right, and start ignoring his acts....and force him to seek help in a hospital, would mean giving up our scapegoat, in a way. Until we're ready to do that....until we're ready to stop tolerating it, and stop giving him the attention he seeks in THIS manner (in other words, by paying attention to his little tricks) He probably will continue to be a menace to himself, and others.

He named his kids Prince Michael and Prince Michael II??!! How big is his ego? When he married Lisa Marie, I think it was around the time of the child molestation charges. I believe he married her to make his image look much cleaner since at that time she had children...(or I think she did). The marriage lasted about a year. Last summer she married Nicolas Cage in an outdoor wedding. But that's another story.
As for the name of the children, I feel sorry for them. Kids can be cruel at times just over a name. Not to mention, how will his first child and his 3rd child tell one's name apart without adding the II. I foresee heartache for the kids.

I don't think it would have made a damn bit of difference if it had happened here. Of course, gods help us if one of we mere mortals discipline our children in public.
His best friends are Diana Ross and Liz Taylor? I always thought it was a chimp named Bubbles and a snake named Muscles.
Actually, I've never really like him. When the Thriller album came out he was still relatively normal. I just got sick of hearing those songs played over and over and over. After that, though, he got progressively weirder as time went on. I always found the stories that he was shy amusing. Shy. Right. That's why he went into a profession that involves him being the center of attention for millions of people. Because he's shy. And then, when I heard he had successfully reproduced, I was utterly shocked. First off, I didn't think he was physically capable of it. Secondly, what woman would possibly find an anorexic bleached out freak job attractive? Well, if he isn't attractive, I guess his bank account is. And if a woman can find Richard "the Night Stalker" Ramirez attractive, nothing's too far out.
I suppose you're right, Danus, but I can't say I'd shed any tears if he were to drop off the face of the earth. Oh, to hell with it. Waste the bastard. That seems to be my solution to everything these days. I'm just so exceedingly sick of the stupidity of this world. We know this fruitcake does stuff like this, but we do nothing. Hell, we actually line his pockets while ignoring his crimes. Then we wonder why some people are like him. Well, it's simple... we allow it.

The important thing to remember is that Michael Jackson is crazy. I mean, he's completely nuts. Wonko. Bonkers. Nutty as a christmas fruitcake!
He was a child star, and you don't need to live in Hollywood to know that child stars are messed up right from the beginning.
First, he's got self esteem and body issues. This we know, because he's obsessive about changing his skin and face. The guy doesn't like who he is, and goes about changing it the wrong way.
He lives in an Amusement Park called the "Neverland Ranch". Like, Neverland, from Peter Pan? Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up? Like Michael Jackson, the boy star, who himself never wants to grow up? Am I ringing any bells here? This Ranch he fills with children from the neighborhood, one of whom he has paid an undisclosed settlment to in order to keep their mouth shut about what sort of shennanigans go on there. But one thing is undisputed - Michael "loves" children.
I could go on, but it's an excercise in futility. MJ is a confused, unhappy, sick and now deformed individual.

~hold one hand over mouth to keep from barfing~ Okay, as if I'm not sick already, I see this on the 5 o'clock news and run to the bathroom to puke. (I know, I know, T.M.I.)
He is one sick individual who needs a serious dose of vallium and then a nice trip to a white padded cell, there he could just blend into the walls.
Come on now, what is this guy thinking? Obviously he has some problems with his race or he wouldn't be making himself white, or am I wrong here?? He keeps changing him self to look like a woman, pretty soon here he will have boobs, so he has some problems with his sex, or am I wrong again?? And his voice, it too keeps changing to sound more feminine, so there is the problems with his sex. Or does he just want to look more attractive to men? So then he could molest another little boy.
I don't see how ANYONE would let that man have a child, with the molestation charges, and now hanging a baby over a balcony, he is deranged and needs to be locked up. And the children taken away to live with a family that will love them enough to change their names.

I've suspected for some time now that Michael and Janet are the same person.
I heard on the news this morning that the reason he had the towel over the baby's head was to "protect him from kidnappers". Not sure how that's supposed to work. I guess it runs along the same lines as Michael wearing a mask to conceal his identity. Let's see, wearing a mask, sunglasses, a sequined jacket and only one glove while grabbing your genitals at random... yeah, you're going to blend right in. Personally I think the kid would be better off if he was kidnapped.

actually, he bleaches his skin to make it an even color. He has a
rare skin disease that causes uneven pigmentation. I think he
wears the mask to hide his "ugliness." His nose looks like the

Michael Jackson has always been a numbskull. I am sorry to see that not even coverage on national television can intervene with the safety of those children. ... seen howard hughes lately? i strongly suspect that's where jackson is headed, towards ending as a rich neurotic hermit living in self created squalor. the sad thing is that he does have children who will grow up in his wierd little world, living his paranoid lifestyle until they are old enough to physically escape, whether they can ever mentally and emotionally escape is another question. as well like many others in this thread i wonder just what the attraction is, his "talent" is negligible, even before his surgical self abuse began to catch up with him he had succeeded in making himself look grotesque, and anyone else caught as he was having "relationships" with young boys would have been sitting in jail hoping bubba wouldn't notice him a long time ago. what i'm wondering is how long it will take for him to slide into complete psychosis to the point where even the people making a big dollar out of him realise he is no longer publicly exploitable and quietly put the wreck away where he can finish deteriorating out of the public eye. it would be a mercy, both for him and the world.
