WOW! Oh the memories brought up by those tutorials. I remember in grade school making the pinch pots and the coil pots 25 years ago. If there was a facility to fire pieces here, I'd love to try it again.

You know, I don't even know if there's a place in my area for firing clay... We did a lot of sculpting when I was in high school art classes - even got a try on the pottery wheel (not that I was any good at it... I started with a big ball of clay and ended up with a pot that's 2" high and wide, and 1/4" thick).
It was something I really enjoyed and something I'd love to try again. I've always loved pottery, especially the pot that he was making in the Wheel tutorial. Don't ask me why, but I love that shape!
I wonder if the other tutorials would work for polymer clay. It's not something I've ever tried before - I usually make my bowls and containers by moulding them around stoneware and baking everything together.

Most of these techniques would work for polymer clays except the wheel ones, I think. And you wouldn't need to wet the polymer clay to attach pieces like the handle. Some local community centres have pottery clubs & have access to a kiln. You could check there. Or phone a local high school...one of my friend is an art teacher & when she does a firing, she would let other people put their work in if she has room. This also depends on the type of clay she's firing, etc.
