In the Pagan Internet Conferance post there is a link to it and past transcripts of the event.
After reading the transcript on Cyber Covens I think we may have one, or at least an information circle, right here!
Covens are groups of people who help one another, learn together, grow together and stay connected to each other. OK that isn't everything, but if we had regular rituals and circles, we could probably consider ourselves one, a rather open one.
I'd like to hear from people who are in covens and what a coven really is. What are the elements needed/shared in covens. Is it possible to have those same experiences online? Is there a problem when there are so many in the group? its not like we need one place to meet. Should there be a leader or head teacher?
It also mentions a stable group develops its own shared knowledge base and ways of doing things. i know we are not a very stable group but are we already developing these? The people who are online and active here more often are the ones sort of molding this group. We already have some unsaid rules like greeting new comers and we don't take kindly to predators.
Anyways I thought it was an interesting idea and wanted to know how others feel.
