Thunderf00t is a well known youtube atheist and science. Ray Comfort is a creationist... "the banana man"

Thunderf00t is not exactly in his element here, he was (is) on a roadtrip around the USA (http://www.youtube.com/user/beautyintheuniverse his road-trip video journal) and decided to take Ray up on an old challenge. Let's see how a Scientist does against a Snake Oil Salesman.

I've seen this video and I'm with Tf00t in his reflections of it, this was not essentially a debate or rather a formal argument in anyway. The setting and circumstances negated this option, thus the choice of the word "Discussion". The other reasoning being in Fact vs. Faith arguments there is no changing anyone's mind because evidence is usually irrelevant to the Faith side.

My thoughts? This was Tf00ts first discussion of this type, as you mentioned he was way out of his element but I feel he still did very well. I thought Comfort would have been more read up on things he supposedly debates about such as evolution... I was disappointed by his performance and thought that Tf00t dominated with his logic.

Although Tf00t made mistakes, and had some moments of stuttering I feel this shows his lack of preparation and rush based on the circumstances rather then his lack of understanding. Experience was something else he lacked and hopefully this experience will get him out there for more live debates.

I discussed this with another YouTuber (dprjones) on his BlogTV live show yesterday and when the news that Comfort and Tf00t had finished their debate. Primarily we feel Tf00t did well but there were some in the chat who feel that Tf00t should have been much more agressive... I'm unsure, I think Tf00t acted with a lot of integreity which probably humbled Comforts opinions of a scientific mind.
