First off I apologize if this is the wrong place for this post but I could not find a more appropriate one.
I really have a simple question for an experienced traveler. There was a time where I was practicing to travel or experience the OBE's and have had a few accidental travels in my life. Back when I was practicing I was doing it with an ex girlfriend. She is the one that opened me up to it and made me really believe. One night while we were on the phone she was traveling to me and telling me little things like how many candles I had out and which ones were lit just for fun. One of the times she came back on the phone but it wasn't her. I don't really remember the details as it was many years ago but it was someone else "in her body" speaking to me saying something like "you can't talk to her right now". About 10 seconds past and she herself came back and said that something weird happened. That she suddenly stopped during her travel and couldn't move. I told her about what happened on my end and that's when she told me about a spirit that was following her around. From that day I never really intentionally picked it back up.
I haven't read to many books but I have read a lot online. Not to many people mention much about protection or this kind of thing happening. Most of what I read says that you have nothing to worry about. I want to get over this "fear" and really jump back into this. I know I can do it but not if I have these thoughts. So, back to the question, is it possible for another spirit to temporarily take over your body and do you need to take protection steps when traveling?
