Help interpret a reading...

I did a reading for myself the other night asking a question about my relationship with my step-daughter and how it was. I did the Celtic Cross and these are the cards I drew:

1. High Priestess
2. The Lovers
3. 9 of cups
4. 2 of cups
5. 10 of cups
6. Ace of cups
7. The Empress
8. Wheel of Fortune
9. The Emporer
10. The Hermit

If possible and if anyone has time could you give me your interpretations of this layout...

I used the Rider-Waite deck....

1. High Priestess- Allowing your inner thoughts and felings to be your guild. Not knowing why you are prompted to do something. Trusting intuition. The call of the wild. Influeeces of the part, usally the uncnscious.
Reversed- Superstitious; superficial; imagconscious.

2. The Lovers- Intensity. Choices in relationships. Devotion to whatever or whoever is sacred in one's heart. Sexuality as experssion. Physical love.
Reversed- Ovsessive love. Flightiness.

3. 9 of cups- Experience life as a celebraton.

4. 2 of cups- A new Relationship , or new stage in an exisiting relationship.

5. 10 of cups- Emotional commitments and responsibility fulfilled; or, a look at how they may be fulfilled.

6. Ace of cups- Emotional fufillment, or a vision of how that may be obtained.

7. The Empress- Utilizing your creativity. Manifesting; allowing things to frow and develop around you. Growth andprosperity.
Reversed- Too easygoing; the need to stand up for your rights.

8. Wheel of Fortune- The ebbs and flows of life's opportunities. Temporary gratification versus one's destiny. Life's ups and downs. Consider how to maitai well-being when things are ging ell.
Reversed- Too optimisitic. Look out for possible pitfalls

9. The Emporer- The struggle for indepenedence. Refusal to submit the others' authority. Pushing back external infulences which encroach upon one's territoy.
Reversed- Too headstrong. Unable to heed the advice of others.

10. The Hermit- Don't rush into new sets of commitments. Check out everything involved before making that final plunge. Caution.
Reversed- Overly Cautious.


Hey i knew to readings basically but i dunno ill try n intepreted it from my cards.. The cards that i use is Lord of the Rings Deck.

First glance i would have to say that this reading is about ur experiene with relationships n such.. Just mainly you have alot of cups and hmm jeeze half major cards 2 lol...

I believe that this shows that you are presently into a relationship right now. One that a strong relationship and you are afraid if you are too powerful into it you may become lonely jsut like the hermit. This is mainly do to the problems that may be occuring or you are fearing that would occur. I say would just becauze u hae no swords in ur reading :-p. I believe that you are in a great relationship right now and you feel confortable enough with this person. But if you are too strong within this relationship you may become like the hermit when going into other relationships... Or you just may be catious that you won't mess up :-p..

But i dunno i can try n clear thing up if u want me too :-p cuz it is a little bit confusing..

1.) Ur sit. card- This card represents you
2.) Field of influences of ur sit. - This shows that you are presently into a relationship right now.
3.) Goals- You want this relationship to work out and experience some type of settlement you may say. That is a little too strong but how you wanna be close with this person and experience them..
4.) Distanct past- this shows that you meet this person, or something deeper occured with this person.
5.) Recent past- this shows that this person completes your better half.
6.) future influences- i can somewhat say that you will become closer with this person/ wanna settle down or feel "one".
7.) attitude- you are allowing things to happen between you and this person n such..
8.) Environment Influences- the hardships/wonders of life.. what kind of stuff is going on.
9.) Fears- you may become too strong that you may become like..
10.) alone and such...

Sorry for all the dumb stuff.. I hope you understand what i meant.. But i have a different tarot deck so the stuff might be different meanings...

It's also interesting to note that all the minors are all in cups. It's a very emotional situation. I'm going to see if I can find pics of these cards online. What's in the pictures will say more than the "traditional" meanings of the cards.

I do agree with Wildchild that all those cups show a very motional situtation.
I use the Rider-Waite deck exculsively. (Although I have another deck I'm anxious to start using!) I will take a look at an interpretation tomorrow. My cards are in the bedroom and Hubby is already asleep.
