Sure :)

Read, read, read! Research, research, research!
Second...don't focus on spells right away. Wicca is more about the spirituality then the magick, IMO.

Spells? What kind?
What is your intent?
Do you have a need? Or just a need to do a spell?
I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, but just to ask for advice for spells is pretty general.
Protection, money, love?
Come on! Give us more to work with here!;)
But please prepare yourself for more of the same, "read", use the seach function, and there's a thread on that in.......
But welcome to MW.
You'll learn alot here!:D

What have you been reading and researching..? I'm just curious, there's not a lot of books out there on Paganism that don't focus on spells and spellcrafting and I'd be interested to get some ideas on what I can read that don't focus on that. If you need some books to help you with spellcrafting (and there are mannny of those) check out our Books forum.

Also, it'd be good to have an idea of where you're coming from - have you meditated, can you visualize well, can you focus energy, ground and center, cast circles, etc.? You'll want to get visualization and grounding and centering as well as meditating down quite well before any specific spell work. When you have these basic techniques laid down there's a good foundation for doing simple candle and healing spells - for instance you could light a white candle to send out blessings to people you care about, or you could light a blue candle and burn it (after asking the person you're sending energy to) to help someone heal. In a candle spell all you do is pick one with a colour and scent that matches, light it, and as the flame glows imagine it filling the room with energy.

really? not many books? well i didnt have any problems finding them..plus i do research online....sites similar to this but more in depth about the topic. There's also plenty of pagan society and youth groups in the city, even at the University. If gives the background of what wicca is etc..the beliefs and such. I've been expose to almost every religion out there...and i found that wicca suits me better..because i dont have to choose...plus i really dont believe in the concept of religion..i'm a spiritual person but not a religious person. I keep hearing that alot of wiccans are taught by a priest/prietess... so i was thinking...maybe someone could tell me exactly each step they took to get where they are. it's not easy trying to teach yourself.

One of the first thing to do is to think of your needs. Needs are different from wants. In crafting any spells, you have to have an end result in mind. For example, someone asks you to send healing energies and asks you to do a spell for them...the end result would be a healthy person. With that in mind, you can gather your correspondences that would reflect healing for you. Correspondences are just focal points for your energies or magic...whichever you want to call it. I'm rambling...the point is you need to have something in mind first.
