Going to Witch School is only a Mouse Click away.
For those of us who cannot be lucky enough to be invite to Hogwart's, We can go to WitchSchool.com, a global network of over twenty-thousand people learning and studying Witchcraft and Wicca. Not quite so fantastic as the world of Harry Potter, it does offer study into herbalism, aromatherapy, psychic development, and even how to use a magic wand as part of it's
courses. With the use of the Internet, people all over the world are clicking into WitchSchool.com.
Through this global network, local Wiccans are finding valuable resources to help build their own community. By utilizing the Internet, they are finding training, support, supplies, and broad communications. No longer isolated individuals scattered across the countryside, WitchSchool.com members become part of a larger learning community. They are able to share experience and
direct advice on how to form study groups, covens, and temples.
One example of this network is Rev. Laura Harris. In her hometown of Bath Michigan she runs the Mystic Circle School for Psychic Abilities and has taught psychic studies and meditation techniques for several years. Over the last year she has developed online course that has helped hundreds of students worldwide. In exchange, her students have been given access to over thirty courses to enrich her program locally.
When Rev. Laura is asked "Isn't it hard to learn online?" she offer that the mentors at WitchSchool.com are committed to provided individualized attention to students. Students interact directly with qualified mentors and fellow students to learn through discussion, exercises, and theory. This kind of dedication eases the barrier that is often present in online courses. She further states that the Internet may not be for everyone, and practicing with a local group can be very helpful.
This ability for Wiccans to connect to not just a local phenomena but a global one. With teachers like the Lady Green Owl, The Dean Fabrisia, and over fifty mentors everyone has the opportunity to learn and find support through this World-Wide network. There are many shiny examples.
In Australia, Rev. Wendy Eversen has utilized the Internet to teach and network with her fellow Australians as well as people from the United States, Europe, and Africa. In her home town of Whyalla she operates the Shrine of Laveda from which she offers training directly. As a Senior mentor of WitchSchool.com she is involved with over five hundred students. Her insightful courses get attention and attendance she could never get in her local community. Wendy gets to teach globally and act locally.
In South Africa this global network provides support to an emerging community. Rev. Raene of Capetown operates the Shrine of Awen which seeks to provide an education in this difficult region. With help she is seeking even a more elusive goal of religious liberty for her and her fellow Wiccans.
Another South African, Rev. Andi Fisher, utilizes the school to help many students across South Africa to form local groups. She focuses worldwide attention to the difficulties that are faced by her people including the fact some of her students could be killed if discovered being part of this site.
By providing a platform to foster awareness this network furthers the expansion of freedom and personal liberty to those around in South Africa and everywhere else that these concepts find a home.
So by join WitchSchool.com students get an experience that gives even Hogwart's Academy a run. It is a place that anyone can come to, to learn magic and wonderment. It is also a place changing the world, one student at a time.
From the Director of Witchschool.com, Rev. Ed Hubbard.
