Utah certainly doesn't get tornadic storms as often as, say, Kansas or Oklahoma. But they've had few here and there. http://www.tornadoproject.com/alltorns/uttorn.htm

I remember seeing a reinactment of the Salt Lake City tornado on the Weather Channel's "Storm Stories." Good to read an update on the area that was hit. Sounds a lot like my hometown of Greensburg Kansas - it was slowly dying before the monster EF5 tornado destroyed about 95% of the town and left the rest in tatters. The effort that is going into rebuilding and making it a truly Green Town has given it a whole new life.

Mother Nature can never be planned, as much as we try.

We had a horrid one in WI in January of 08. Did more damage than the ones we "expect" in May.
