My fiance (Amanite on here) discovered Eve a few months back and now he's addicted to the thing. So it's got me wondering, how many people on here play it and are there any other 'eve widows' like me on here who get to sit and watch their SO play it for hours...

Although not specifically for Eve, I would highly suggest "Everquest Widows" (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EverQuest-Widows/) . . . you will find great support there for all types of online game widows.

Another place: http://www.olganon.org/ This one was created by a woman who lost her son, literally through suicide, to online gaming addiction.

I still belong to wids, but don't post anymore. The support there is beyond words. Doesn't matter what the game is, the results are the same . . .

Ok, I know this thread is old, but I just found EVE about a month a go and I'm hooked. :) My friend got me addicted to it. If I had no child or no life I'd be on it all the time. Hehe.

EVE's one of those games I'm terrified of getting sucked into but love reading about from a safe distance. Several of my friends play it, a few in moderately significant positions, and the stories about the alliance-level goings-on and so on are fascinating.

I stumbled across Sins of a Solar Spymaster (http://www.tentonhammer.com/features/mittani) a month or so back; it's a weekly column by one of the game's freakier spymasters and largely about the EVE metagame, which is at least as involved as the game itself. It's an interesting read; newbies could pick up a lot by going through the columns in order, there's plenty of interesting stories, and he's very entertaining to boot.
