I think I'm alone in my belief. Am unsure of my safety in my community and in my practice. Any words of encouragement?

Genevieve my dear, it is very possible that in this big world of ours, that you are not alone in your beliefs. There will be at least one other person out there who shares your thoughts.
Think positive and act positive. I tell my friends and family this (mostly it falls on deaf ears :( ). To think that something bad will happen is to give it birth. But of course, in thinking positive, don't set yourself up for major disappointments. Set realistic expectations and work towards them. And don't worry about what other people think of what you do or say or be. Be tolerant of others and learn a good way to deal with them. It can be anything from researching their beliefs and challenging them to simply walking away saying, "I'm sorry that you feel that way."
Learn to be strong of mind and character. It can be a long process but in doing so, you can learn to not let negative things affect you so much.

Welcome to Mystic Wicks, Genevieve. Even no two people may have the exact same thoughts and beliefs, many are similar. If you're looking for pagan companionship, we're here.
Am unsure of my safety in my community and in my practice. Have you been threaten in any way? If you're in danger, have you gone to the police?

this is one of the best places to find companionship, and also a good shoulder to lean/ cry on!!!! Just keep posting, stay strong and I'm sure that you'll run into someone very soon, probably the person that you are least likely to think it would be.

MM & welcome to MW!
Well Genevieve, you are not alone... why do you think most of us are here? There are a lot of solitaries here, and one of the wonderful things about being pagan is you don't HAVE to believe what the person next to you does... :)

Yes indeed, be strong and read among these threads. Many of us come here due to the lonelyness of our locations or due to a solitary practice. If you are in danger go to the police.... or if it is due to harrassment, the ACLU...really, there are protections out there. We ask only that you respect all of us here and our beliefs and practices... you don't need to agree with them, just respect our right to have them. BB

yes, most of us feel alone and perhaps even lonely and isolated in our Path...but doesn't that also unite us in some way?
