Light Workers???

I'm not exactly new to the Path, but there is one thing that I know very little about.
Light Workers.
i've heard the term being mentioned a fre years ago, when i went to a local band show and met a young man. something about him caught my attention, but i didn't know what.
he finally came up to me, said hello, that he's glad to see me there, and then asked to hold for a while a small crystal he had. he gave the crystal and left.
after a while he came back, and i gave it back. he held it in his hands, feeling the energy i gave it, then shook my hand, telling me he was honoured to meet me. i asked him if he was pagan. he said, "Sort of". then the just said that he's a light worker.
i did not get a chance to talk to him more.
but now, a few years later, i'm still wondering, who EXACTLY is a Light Worker???

if anybody knows, please share the knowledge! it will be greatly appreciated!!!

Just as it sounds, a worker of light. It's a new age term referring to someone who works towards peace and light in the universe, maybe through astral travel and healing work, crystals, that sort of thing. As far as I know it's a general term and doesn't refer to a specific path or tradition as much as a common goal of peace and healing.

hm, only i thought it is something a little bit more specific, not as general; there are must certain ways how they do it, their ideology, idea of light and peace...

Uh if you can't see the text on there (as I couldn't) view source or select it - for some reason at least on Netscape Navigator 7 it appears white on white.

As alluded to there, some lightworkers believe we or they are aliens working towards harmony and peace. Another related term (which I know there's a thread about here at MW) is indigo children, who are thought to be children who are aliens here on our earth in this incarnation to help us work towards enlightenment - they are characterized by being hyperactive, very imaginative and creative, and not cooperative with authority, for example.

Another thing you might look for is "11:11" which I know there's also a thread about that is pertinent, and of course Atlantis often comes up.

oh, it really is!
i haven't thought of him in such a long time- it's been a few years now. and then one night i was looking through my 'gem' stones, touching them, picking the ones for ne necklace i will be making. a more or less round and clear one caught my eye, and as i held it, an image of him came to mind.
so, i posted the thread.
and now i cannot help but feel that i need to find him. in whichever way.
not sure how or why or what for...
...but i suppose i shall find out soon!

Just wanting to say that I did take note of this topic. *winks* I wouldn't call myself a light worker or anything, but it's a view of things that I find interesting. I hope you find him, if that's what is to pass, dear.
