But the fact is that I'm constantly struggling as a student, trying to finish a BA in Sociology, and it was really stupid to sign up for a core class for another major, even if I was taking it CR/NC.
I just feel sad because I liked the class and the teacher. :(

Sorry to hear this! I can sympathise, I finished my BA with a tonne of classes I wished I'd been able to do... it's why I'm doing postgrad :P
I'm not sure what options you have, but here you can do a postgraduate diploma, which is basically like doing another major, after your degree. Maybe you could do something like that and pick up the class later?

What does CR/NC mean? *Boggled*
Sorry about that...but, well, maybe it just wasn't the right time in your life to take it. I'm sure such classes are available in various places, and you could very well come to the same opportunity again in the future.
So don't feel too down about it. Concentrate on what you're already working on.

Lol, if I do that it will probably be with geography. The class I was taking was a theater class. My problem is that there is too much stuff I want to do!

Credit/No Credit.
It basically means that if I failed it wouldn't affect my GPA, but if I passed it wouldn't count towards a degree in Theater Arts either.
It might have been fun to just go to class, except that there was so much reading and teachers generally don't like it if you are in their classes and don't do the assignments.

I might have privately discussed my situation with the teacher and asked if she would be OK with my being there even if I don't have the time to read the material.
I can't imagine there's a lot to learn about acting in a book that doesn't already come as common sense to most people...
